bioshock 2

badass, I wonder what the system requirements will be for PC? I haven't even finished the first one yet but it's great.

BUMP.

This comes out in a week and i've seen some screens from the multiplayer and it looks absolutely amazing. I know I won't have $60 when it comes out so I'm a little sad. Everything I've heard is that it's at least amazing as the original.

The first one for 360 is amazing. I can imagine this is just as good if not better. but the online play sucks for the first one imo

i wasnt aware the first one had any online play at all.

im loving this so far, its more of the same but better. im not very far into it, but thats going to change this weekend!
simultaneous plasmids and weapons is the shiz!

yea..wasnt aware the first one had it

jeez i wonder if theres already people playing 2 online like alot of people...the first few days getting a game suck when theres only a couple lobbies operating

i just finished the story mode, godamn breath-taking. Not since kingdom hearts 2 has a game's ending made me tear up. I am utterly blown away. Never have I seen a game improve so much on it's prequel, it out did bioshock 1 in so many ways. The multiplayer is nearly as good as COD, but not quite as smooth. This game is without a doubt getting game of the year.

Damn that was quick. It's gonna take a while to get accustomed to the plasmids and all the other shit on multiplayer with Big Daddys and whatnot. Ugh, I hate not having money to buy this game.

the multiplayer isnt actually as complicated as you'd imagine, you end up favoring like 1 or 2 plasmid-weapon combos and sticking with those. I'm only rank 16, so i cant say i know how every weapon works with every plasmid, seeing as i havent unlocked them. But I've played it enough to figure that it's just a little bit less complex than cod 4 or 6.

Bioshock both 1 and 2 are definitely in competition for my favorite games of all times, and ive played a good amount. The story line is so original and dark, almost disturbing, but on the other hand not 100% serious, probably 99%. The graphics at times are breath taking, and theres so much to uncover about this deep disturbing story of greed, murder, drug addiction, corruption, power, I could go on and on. If you play video games at all, place this game.

side note: I think these games would make an EXCELLENT movie
If they did make a movie, who (real actors) would you pick to play the characters in the game?

Id really enjoy seeing dakota fanning as a little sister get harvested by a selfish big daddy lusting for a fix of power for his next plasmid. **evil laugh**

^they should film both good and evil variants depending on wether the main guy harvests or not =D

nah, seriously, i don't know how they could possibly do the game justice when half the fun is in repetitious fighting and the other half in exploring the fantastic world. neither of these translate well onto film.

Bioshock2 suu-uuu-uucked.

Great same old gameplay, shitty maps, rushed and terrible story, too many audio-tapes, and too much of doing the exact same thing that you did in the first. Also what was up with Tennenbaum even being in the game? She had no bearing other than the first 10 seconds.

yeah, they definitely improved the fun of gameplay, but the story just didnt do it for me.

The weird thing about the Bioshock 2 multiplayer, is that the people who created it didn't work for 2k games.
You can really tell with the difference in gameplay, they are so different! It was really hard to get used to after playing the campaign.
Did anyone get the special edition?

They are going to make a movie, and many more games since Bioshock has become a franchise.
Don't quite know how I feel about that. Hopefully they don't milk it too much.

Is it worth getting number 1 first or should I just jump into number 2?

The game play on both is pretty much the same, there are just a few changes with weapons in 2.
Get the first one ( since it would be cheaper ) to see if you like the story line and the game in general.
I would say that it isn't completely necessary to play the first one first, but you'd get more out of the story if you did.
