Can meth damage the vocal voice?
I did some meth, and its very hard for me to talk right now..
My cocal voice hurts when I talk.

This really dont belong in Drug culture shahab6. Ima move it over to a place it would fit more. Drug culture is for social and culture type shit about drugs not the physical affects.

This is purely anecdotal... but I find that when you smoke crystal that is 'burnt, after a while you'll develop somewhat of a 'cloudy' voice. It almost sounds like there's smoke stuck in your throat, and your vocal chords will hurt a little. If I already have a little cough and I smoke, it will slightly irritate it but not as much as smoking cigarettes or weed.

Again, I only noticed that side-effect when I burnt a couple of puddles and still smoked them. If there's a gross, burnt plastic taste when you're smoking and it's all black, you should probably just clean it off and start a new one.

Snorting it could have done some damage, you should take a break from snorting or smoking for a while and see if it clears up.

You could also be experiencing a change in saliva production or other bodily change that makes your voice hurt. This could be caused by meth.

thats possible.. I will take a break..

It's definitely possible the meth went into your nasal cavity to your throat and made some temporary damage, but I don't think it will last long-term. Not good that it happened, but I wouldn't worry too much about long term effects.

I have vocal cord damage that came from smoking meth. 4 years clean I still don't have vocal range. I can sing the scratchy Janis Joplin songs but nothing else as before. Not complaining about being able to sing Janis songs but I come from a family of musicians and I can't keep up where as before I was the lead.
I am curious if this can be treated ? Unfortunately I have HepC and other issues I am focused on now but in the future this will be a priority.
