TECHNO / ELECTRO / BREAKS

Forest Green spins Techno, Electro, House, Rave, Minimal, Micro, IDM and various derivatives of all other electronic dance music. She’s been a music collecting addict for over 26 years. She's been DJing professionally since 1996.

Starting her DJ journey in the 1990's San Francisco underground, Forest Green continues to explore the art of rocking the dance floor, and mastering the mix. 12 years later, she continues taking things to the next level, amazing crowds with her high energy, hot bass lines, and soul gripping grooves. Expect to hear only the freshest jamz, as she searches high and low for the most cutting edge, floor shaking, booty quaking EDM the world has to offer, and brings it straight to you!

Forest is a featured DJ in the popular, indie film GROOVE. GROOVE was accepted to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2000, and was the first film bought that year by Sony Picture Classics. Groove is an independent feature film based on one night in the San Francisco Underground Rave Scene back in the early 1990s.

Block Club DJs, DanceMania, Ghetto House
DJSLUGO.COM

Cue the bass…Deep in the heart of the ghetto, on the mean streets of Chicago’s infamous Southside, a music pioneer was born… From the beginning, Thomas “DJ Slugo” Kendricks was influenced by his cousin, Dj Geno, a member of a local Chicago hot mix group, and other local icons such as the Hot Mix 5 (of Chicago radio). Slugo, with 20+ years in the game, over 20 albums in his pocket and over 50 CDs on the street, began a journey that lead him to become one of the original creators of a style of music commonly known as Ghetto House, more recently regarded as Juke.

haha we threw a couple parties at the star flyer. I wonder how they'll do the multiple rooms? We had to build 30 panels of 8ft board to try and separate the rink from the "2nd stage" area.

the venue is alright, but it's hard bringing people down to south chicago.

^^^it was fun and exciting when raves were around. you felt apart of something. not just a patron at a bar. back then people were alot nicer too >.> now its just abunch of jaded ravers that like to bitch about every little aspect of every line up and dj set and venue. half of the kids i know out and about use to be covered head to toes in bright colored beads and cartoon nonsense. i suppose its part of growing up though. but i do miss it too lea. its still going on. just not here.

Soooo many attempts, miles, money, hopes, and then.... :( No attempts to throw parties ever come close to even Brandons parties anymore (within less 3hrs.) clubs/bars w/ headliner yeah, we have good events just not parties. This looks like rave potential and it's less than 3hrs hmmm idk i prob have to work anyways

dont get me wrong. i have grown up myself being 27. work full time. bills. etc. and to be honest i'd much rather sit in a legal venue with 60 people i know then drive 3 hrs to be around 18yr old strangers. hell i can't even go out during the week bc of work. i really wish i could go to all the juxtapose events. i fuckin love dubstep/dnb...but i know myself and i know if i went i would sleep in and not go to work. it fuckin sucks. but im just having some old memories of the gym club, usa skate, ghetto dome, etc. i just wish every once in a long time i could re-live the good ole ravey times without feeling like a douchebag (considering my age), not to mention i can't risk getting in any more sort of trouble. i just miss the times of throwin on the dancing shoes, packin a car load of kids for a road trip, and havin a grand ole time in some warehouse somewhere. sigh.

:( I just got owned. hehe. Nah man, I just know myself all too well. I'd be late to work. Trust me. lol. And with this shit hole economy, I can't be losing a job.

A party is only as good as its participants. If you want to bring it back, bring it back. Show up decked out and stop worrying about what other people think. ;)

I'm gonna have to rethink this one, Leah.

I mean, it'd be cool to see Matt and Defi, but barring that, that line-up is shit, soot, and poo.
