The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

a must for gilliam fans, any film that starts with a drunk geordie getting carried off by a flying jellyfish is going to be good :D

I saw that film I wasn't sure if I liked it or not though; the plot just seemed wierd for the sake of being wierd rather than anything else I just didn't really care much for the story. It was quite an original concept though.

I just love gilliams visual style and characters, story is a bonus for me in his films :) (though normally very good: Brazil, 12 Monkeys, Fear and Loathing etc) I like just about everything he has made, there's a couple of stinkers though.

Aye Evad ;) That Thirst does look good. Definitely want to see that when it's over here :)

Think it's had limited cinema release and is available to buy here already man.

great description there man, really makes me want to run out and see it!
imdb link and vague description, maybe even a pic goes a long way in this thread :).

If you haven't seen avatar I would go see it while its still in 3-d theaters

you should go for it, it was both my first imax film and first 3d film and i was very impressed with the visual awesomeness

ah cool. i would imagine it would be pretty fucking trippy with a few bumps of k beforehand and during, but the cupbpoard is bare. heh.

I dunno, with ket fucking up depth perception there's a part of me that thinks it could maybe even have a negative effect on the 3dness

you totally pissed on my chips and my bonfire simultaneously, in fact i probably won't enjoy the film with your negativity clouding the issue. fuck sake i might not go now. :X

if anybody is looking for good comedown viewing BUT doesn't mind subtitles (or speaks fluent russian), you should check out "moskva slezam ne verit" aka "moscow doesn't believe in tears" (available on youtube I think).

It's basically like the soviet version of sex and the city but without the shallowness. I believe i won an oscar for best foreign film back in the day (made in the 70s/80s I believe) x

Good movies...

...Charlie Barlett - unbelieveable good movies.

...Run Lola Run - German movie but awsome.

...Punch Drunk Love - Wortha watch, bit slow but its good.

The more common movies im sure have been mentioned before are V for Vendetta / Memento / Sin Ciy..

...I hadnt watched till recently hence why I mention xD

went to see it tonight in normal 3D, not IMAX. no IMAX viewing for a couple of weeks so we just went for it in 3D tonight. fucking amazing movie, first 3D film i've ever seen and it was pretty damn good.

i had no idea what the plot was about beforehand either, so i was well impressed by all the sci-fi military shit, like the mechwarriors and helicopters etc. :D

unfortunately i missed the shagging scene when i was out having a tab. (it's a long film, dammit.)

p.s. did we fuck recycle our 3D glasses, they came home. they might be fun for K or acid.
