This game deserves it own thread....

Add nyour breakdowns of the game, key players, predictions ect.....

Ill add mine shortly

Saints all the way. The party we threw in New Orleans when they beat the Vikings was epic. I can't imagine the party when the Saints win the Super Bowl! As well as the Saints have played this season, they deserve to win their first Super Bowl.

Either way, it is going to be an awesome game.

poll added!

it seems the Louisiana spent so much energy partying and being happy to simply reach the Super Bowl. while even though it is only the second appearance for Peyton Manning, it almost is old hat for him and his crew. I predict Indiana to beat Louisiana, and I like saying it that way because it rhymes.

Peyton will be on his best-behavior so he can try to reach the upper tier of NFL QBs who already have their second Lombardi Trophy (Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger).

I really like both defenses, and I think one of them will get a big stop in the second half of the game (given that it is a tight game)... I expect to see the Saints pressure Peyton a fair amount, and this should keep him out of rhythm enough to keep the Indy offense in check.

I think the winning team will be the one more pumped to win the game. I expect Drew Brees to get his team pumped for this game, and if they can keep the momentum from swinging way out of their favor, I expect them to win. If the Indy defense shuts down the Saints offense for the most part and captures the momentum, then I expect them to win.

I pick the Saints, though it is a tough pick and I certainly feel it is the underdog pick.

i think us NOLAiens are past the point of caring if they win or not.

You an Axel have a point....But the Saints as a team sure as hell care....

I think that all of this plays into the Saints favor....There was a great deal more pressure for the Saints to win in the NFC championship rather than now in the SB. I think now the pressure is on the Colts and the Saints will play much more looser now that the fans are, for the most part, pleased we've made it this far...

The pressure def showed in the second half vs the Vikes...Receivers dropped alot of passes....I think the Saints O gets back to form like they were earlier in the season and they showed against the Cards.....I cant blame anyone picking Manning and the Colts....But the Saints are def not gonna make it easy....They've brought their best in all the biggest games this season...They're def gonna bring the wood on the biggest stage of all sports!

I am so proud of the Saints!!!!<3 Geaux Saints!!!!=D

I hope they win, but even if they don't they have still done so well!

I think it will be a great game!!!! I am excited for us Louisianians<3!!!

It is time for us to bring home the big victory!!

WHO DAT!!!!<3

My heart is with the saints but my head says the colts will win.

Im not a fan of either team though so in the end I just want an exiting, down to the wire game.

Saints got this. Peyton is a good quarter back n all but for all the regular and post season wins he has, how many superbowls does he got...... only 1 :P

WHO DAT!

There's apparently a serious chance that Dwight Freeney will miss the game due to an ankle injury... 8o

I don't think it will be an ass-whopping. it should be a back and forth game, with two technically savvy QBs leading their teams down the field. I liked the Colts defense better than the Saints, but it looks like Dwight Freeney is out. the tandem of Freeney and Mathis is simply not as un-blockable with just Mathis.

all the Saints need to do now is shuffle a RB behind Mathis, or keep a Tight End in pass-protection (when he would normally be out running a route) and Mathis should be blocked. it's when you have two disrupting defensive ends that you have a serious problem - one great defensive end should not be such a big deal for the Saints O-line.

^ I think it does that automatically. lemme see if I can change it. I most certainly am not against it or anything...

As well as the Saints have played this season, they deserve to win their first Super Bowl.
you don't deserve a superbowl if you play great all season then lose in the superbowl.

i'm a huge patriots fan. they had a perfect regular season. did they deserve to win superbowl xlii? no.
