Definitely not glass beads. The powder left behind dissolves readily in your saliva. Could be a fertilizer that has been sprayed on prior to harvest.
One thing I thought was strange that the larger buds had much less of the adulterant. The smaller buds were absolutely covered in the shit.

Verybuffed - yeah im getting some more of the same batch (hopefully) tonight so if i see a peak that doesnt fit into the other weed ive analysed well them its over to the ADD peeps. BTW i only have access to the machine but no skills for interpretation.

Frankly, IMO, most hydro in Sydney alteast is adulterated and chemically infused and is not natural at all.
That's not sayinng it's all bad, but after having spoken to many Europeans and Americans, they all agree they enjoy the bush here more as the hydro is simply to strong.
Of course, it changes from location to location. I'm speaking from one perspective, but I doubt its much different in our other major state capitals.

I saw some bud like this in adelaide yesterday...
does anyone know what it is??
is it definitely an adulterant and not caused by improper flushing/over-fertilisation??
There seemed to be quite a few people on other forums stating that could be the cause... (as well as here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=411573)
eitherway it seems pretty dodgy to me...

the buds i saw were similar... brown and dense, very little smell, i'm not too sure about the strange glimmer, however i did notice that the buds seemed to be lacking in trichromes (compared to what I've usually seen). The bud doesn't taste salty at all however...

100% agreed.
If your looking for "clean hydro buds" in Syd(along with many other cities it seems) dont bother and go buy some bush buds instead, or better yet grow your own!

Fuck that, Bush Buds are nowhere near as potent. There is still juicy unadulterated indoor around if you know the right people. Check out the next Pot or Not pic.
Everything tastes like chemicals! You should perhaps be more specific in your description of taste (sour, bitter, etc.).

There was a distinct but weak salty taste to the bud I came across. I wouldn't exactly call it chemically.
It's likely that there are several adulterants being used, so I wouldn't get too strung up on the similarities/disimilarities.

Agreed. Hydro is by far the better option by average, most bush bud that I have purchased that has been grown for mass production has been quite low quality.
Yeah I suppose when you look at it like that.
Although I have grown bush buds before that shat over what I usually buy.
Comes down to the strain, and health IMO.
