what is K2?

I smoked some of this when I was out of town for a few weeks with no buds. It gave some sort of buzz, but wore off in about an hour. After a few days or so I was sick of it and its smell. If you have nothing, I guess its worth it (maybe), but never never never choose this over the real thing. You will be disappointed.
 
well i'm talking to a friend, well kinda....i used to chill with her, but now I don't. Anyway, she just IMed me and she said she smoked some of that shit and said she freaked out and felt really weird and didn't like it....she smokes really good weed, or at least she did when i chilled with her.....all the time. So I was wondering what the chemical was.
 
The thing with these companies is they don't reveal what their "proprietary blend" (an rc cannabinoid 99.99% of the time) really is. But it does seem to be a JWH compound, or something of the like. Synthetic cannabinoids. Again, not worth it if you can get bud.
 
slimvictor smokes a lot of different blends and this is his favourite, if you have to go for one of these then I guess it's probably a good one. If I really wanted to smoke synthetic blend though, I'd get pure cannabinoids and make my own. You can tailor the high, the flavour, the potency and it'd be cheaper. Still nothing on bud though, and the ADD folks think the JWH's in particular may be nasty carcinogens. If you want to know about the active chemicals do a search for JWH-018 & JWH-073.
 
K2 is basically what others have said: Mostly inert plant material sprayed with JWH-018 and similar compounds.

I have heard that K2 provides only a very short high. There are other blends out there that last much longer if you look around. If you can get marijuana I would advise you to stick with that. These blends can come in handy for some people because they do not show up on a urinalysis, so people who are tested regularly in a IOP or something can still get high and not piss dirty.

I suppose it's better to just order the active compounds on their own if you can find them. You'll save money and, if you really want to, you could make your own blends with the chemicals, but they can be smoked on their own as Yerg stated.

There are just too many smoking blends available these days that contain these chemicals. I have only tried a few. The Spice smoking blends seem to have the longest duration of effects and kept me high for 3 to 4 hours. I've read that there are a few domestic US blends now that last about that long, but there are so many available it's hard to keep track.
 
Just get your own oleamide, JWH-018, CP 47497, etc. and vaporize them in pure form in a meth/base pipe.
 
I don't feel there's any need for a scale with synthetic cannabinoids. Just as there isn't a need for a scale with hash oil or kief.
 
Why? One would expect that without a scale you'd start at a dose that looked miniscule visually, like 300 micrograms. You can easily eyeball microgram doses of these as they aren't very dense powders.

C'mon man... You usually seem to know your shit, but that's completely rediculous. No one on earth can accurately eyeball a dose in the microgram range 8)
 
You probably could eyeball it, get it wrong a bunch of times. (not get high, get waaay too high) or get a good scale like normal people.

Who said accurately? These are cannabinoids, you can safely take hundreds of times an active dose.

If you try to eyeball 300 micrograms and accidentally get 3mg, it's not that big a deal. Maybe you get an hour long anxiety attack if you are cannabinoid naive.

There's no way you can try to eyeball micrograms and get many milligrams.

Go weigh out 2mg of JWH-018 or CP 55940 on a 1mg accurate scale. It's extremely easy to visually divide this powder in half multiple times, until you get 250ug or 500ug piles that are probably only up to 50% inaccurate.

If you never have a scale, working with the smallest visible flecks you can transfer to your pipe and working your way up until you feel it will work every time.

Do you weigh out your hashish or kief before packing a bowl, to make sure you don't get 'too high'? I sure don't.
