I was wondering what drug courts like for you. I am in a 3 year program with 5 phases. Right now I am in phase 2 in which I get tested twice a week. Its a huge pain in the ass but beats the hell out of prison and a felony record:)
I know that the drug court programs are unique to each state so describe yours,

Took me almost 4 years to get out of mine.. my advice? Just fucking stay clean until you get out. I went to FIVE inpatient treatment centers in that time.. 3 years is a long time though.. damn. Ours in (tacoma, wa) was only (supposed to be) a year.. what are you in for?

In NY the have TASC=treatment alternatives to street crime. I had a felony charge so what they did was have me plead guilty to a felony and a misdemeanor, then would drop the felony charge when treatment was finished, but if you messed up you would get charged with both. If your cool with the people, its fine. I didn't use that much because it wasn't worth being nervous all week. I was tested at the tasc place every friday, then the outpatient place did them random. I played the system though, was sentenced to 18+mos probation, but was let off in less than 13mos. Was able to get tested every-other week for the last 3 months, and was going to outpatient like 3x a month after the first 10weeks after having to go 2x a week for the first 10weeks.

yeah... ppl forget that sometimes... felony drug charge=NO federal financial aid including student loans... can really f*ck up an education

fuck financial aid just get that paper up front...TASC and drug courts are gonna be a pain in the ass unless ur willing to not get high whatsoever or drink whatsoeever...most people are probably just better taking some time or just straight up take your shit to trial and roll the dice...

youll get lost in the system quick.

i know in jersey theres drug court, but im on PTI (pre-trial intervention) and the prereqs are all the same. no convictions basically it. i even got mine using the PD.

all the requirements are different cuz pti can be used with alot of different felonies. i had a felony drug charge but i was in an IOP wit a dude that got arrested for lighting his car on fire under the brooklyn bridge (no joke LOL) and they gave him PTI. But i had to enroll and finish a treatment program, 90 hrs of community service, maintain school/job, stay outta troblem, 1 yr probation, visit a PO for the year and pass the random drug tests. oh yeah and pay $1200 :\ but after all that (if i make it haha) the charges r dropped.
