MDMA Powder test results

Hey everyone, recently I was privy to the testing of some MDMA powder (from caps) with Marquis & Mandelin reagents. The powder had a consistent texture and almost pure white with small rock like chunks of powder the same consistency as the powder. There was a slight smell i could not put my finger on but did not smell like safrole.

Marquis: slow reaction, but instantly purple gradually spreading and becoming more intense purple over time.

Mandelin: the colour reaction was also slow, but predominately purple/black colour, over time the colour changed to a smokey black/purple/grayish colour.

Apparently the test kits are around 3-6 months old, and i was quite amazed at the reaction as pressed pills have had faster and blacker reaction to Marquis, and more intense colour change on Mandelin. So does anyone have any similar experiences or ideas about this reaction?

(Please note: apparently another batch of MDMA caps were tried but unfortunately not tested recently too, but the MDMA was more crystalline and moist in texture and almost clear.)
 
Well the colours apear spot on, how ever the reaction times are a bit slow. Pure MDMA powder should go straight to black/dark purple and fiz a tiny bit. That is if it's very pure. The long time for it to change color would may be an indication of it being cut with something inactive as it didn't change to any colours indicating anything different.

I'll leave this in AusDD for a couple of hours, and if no more responses i'll move it to pill testing FAQ for you, they have more knowledge then me over there.
 
In all my experience with MDMA powder the reaction has been instant black and slight fizzing

Never have I seen a slow reaction with MDMA powder so I would guess that the reagents are old or more likely that the powder has been cut
 
Hey andy, they were "00" size caps, that were about 1/4-1/3 full, and weight of contents varied from 0.12-0.15g. As i stated previously the contents texture is so consistence it looks like it is one substance.
 
They're cut, we had something like this once when a friend of mine tested his then went out that day, they were definately partially MDMA and alot better than most pills you get now days that's for sure.

Still don't under estimate them. Be safe and have fun.

1 dose of 120-150mg MDMA should have you fairly munted

Do they do this?

If they do, it could be a purish form and the reagents are bad

If not, it's cut

All the MDMA I have acquired has no smell whatsoever and the reagent test reaction makes me jizz in my jocks :)
 
Iv tested known MDMA powder and got faverable results and then tested the same powder again some time later and got negitive and slow reactions. I couldn't figure it out, I tested about 3 times and on the forth I shook the bottles of reagents first then tested and instantly got that fast results I was expecting.

So shake up your reagent and you might get a better result :).

Also you don't need much material to test with, a poppy seed sized quantity should be ample.
 
Static, your comments on amount required is spot on, can't believe that an entire point was sacrificed for this test.

I will be wearing black for the rest of the day (as long as it was MDMA)

I witnessed a test a couple of weaks on go on some MDMA powder, the reaction made me react in a similar way to Psilo, the reaction to black was instantaneous.
 
Yeah I thought 100mg sounded pretty excessive, I always eyeball how much to use for reagent tests, but I always figured it'd be about 5-10mg or so.
 
If i used more than 1-3 mg i would just feel like it's a waste. I mean you don't need any more so why bother? Snort that shit!
 
Snorting pills is so bad on so many levels

You just never know what you are putting up your nose

Even if they're MDMA pills you don't know how bad the binding agents could be for your schnoz

Be very careful, a good friend of mine has fucked his nose from snorting pills over the years
