Has the use of other drugs affected the high you experience?

Didn't find a thread like this sorry if there's already one etc.

I've smoked weed for almost 6 yrs now and it wasn't until this year, that I started experimented with another drug (ecstasy) on a regular basis. Little by little my weed highs have been getting a lot more complex and psychedelic.

Before, my thoughts were affected in that they were more rapid etc... but lately my thoughts have become pictures. Not full on hallucinations.. not even visuals, but in the middle of a thought I'll think of an image. Sometimes my mind will also fill the end of my visual field for a sec ex: I was in the garage and I could barely see the door, but for a sec in my head the door was open and the outside light would come in. When I blinked and looked it was closed. This is different from hallucinations and visuals as they are not present in front of me.. more of the way as when you remember a picture.. and they are almost always in black and white.

The body high has also changed but I have trouble trying to describe it. It just feels like I am able to feel and think further then before.

I haven't rolled since Halloween, so it's not when I combine them 8)
Actually this has never happened when I combine both drugs.

Just wondering for other people that are habitual acid/x/etc users, have you noticed a change in your high?

hmmm, I've always had close eyed visuals at the end of smoke sesh's, usually just as I'm trying to go to sleep, but nothing that intense and I stay away from other drugs, still, I'm curious about this as well

as a user of opiates and weed, i can say that since i started using opiates (and then stopped) that weed alone is a lot less intense/significant than it was before i abused painkillers. probably based on expectations of the high.

Yes is the short answer.

The long answer is filled with logic. As I continue to use weed, my tolerance for weed has shot up. When I use other drugs, I also use weed. So of course mixing in other drugs would make weed on it's own much less intense. When I started smoking, a bowl would throw me to another plant. Now I can smoke a bleezy and go chill with the family and nobody would know a thing.

Anyway -- after using acid I do get some sort of flashback for about a week. Smoking weed the next day almost feels like afterglow tripping or coming down, it's great. It's pretty common. It wouldn't effect you for this long, though.

oh definitely.
mushrooms made me more prone to static and slightly electrifying geometry when getting high.
acid made my CEV's incredibly more complex and i get tessellating color changing open eye visuals to some extent too, when getting high.
i enjoy the changes.

...imo at least haha

i started off as a pothead but feel in love with x the first time i did it and abused it for 2-3 years. feel in love with acid too...and speed....and xanax.....but anyways after that weed become a secondary drug to me. something that went well with everything but wasnt as great on its own anymore. i definitely get higher smoking after a night of rolling than just smoking weed sober. So yes the high is little different and sum ways better, but it starts being outshined by the more intense drugs out there. at least for me...

Hmmm I like what Roose said.
And I don't use opiates, so my high isn't outshined... good reason for me not to try opiates ;)
Sucks for you guys though :(

Me too. But the ONLY drug that has ever made me NOT like/want weed is Kratom. Literally every other opiate, stim, psych I can still enjoy weed just as much as I did before using the drug.

My over use of MDMA has definitely changed the high I get from weed, a lot more trippy occasionally with OEV in dark rooms and often CEV. I never used to get these.

opiates? what?

i can say that since i started using opiates (and then stopped) that weed alone is a lot less intense/significant than it was before i abused painkillers

Meaning I don't want my weed high to feel like nothing, therefore shouldn't try them

Definitely. Ever since I started tripping I've started requiring more cones to get where I want to be. I think this is less of a tolerance issue though, more of a getting used to being completely messed up from my LSD trips. Previously I would stop smoking before I got too messy, now no amount of weed seems to do it.

Maybe I should take a few days break and try again... I'm sure that'll knock me out.

Also, smoking on opiates = ultimate win

smoking bongs on a hippyflip was so beautiful. as with opium, inhaling seemed to do nothing, taste of nothing, the exhalation however was divine. a classic taste of weed was all over my tongue and mouth , my oev's were a red and gold filigree 'net' overlaying reality, this was in daylight; the longer i breathed out the higher i got.

the compulsion to do it again was as irresistible as re-experiencing christmas day as a 6 year old.

weed = top hat 4 a hippyflip
%)

This is exactly what I was thinking.
After I used acid and mushrooms, my weed highs changed fairly dramatically.
More psychedelic.
Even now that I haven't used them in years, my weed highs are still different. However, after smoking weed for a long, long time, my highs have changed as well, probably due to changes in my body or my expectations.
Now, when I smoke, I get stimulated, and can't sleep for about 5 hours.
I used to go to sleep immediately after smoking a bowl.

After I trip on some sort of psychedelic, for the next few days, my weed highs are a lot more psychedelic as well, and usually more euphoric and less anxiety-provoking. ^-^; Out of all the drugs I've tried, I find that I experience the most anxiety on weed usually (and I've tried a pretty wide range of psychs). I've experienced panic attacks with cannabis on a few occasions, though I'm always able to tell myself what they are; I just experience the physical symptoms and it bothers me at first. However, my weed highs overall have gotten less intense the more often I've smoked over time, though that's to be expected.

Everytime I take MDMA, LSD or LSAs my weed highs become a lot more psychedelic and euphoric for a week or so after dosing
