PS3 VS Xbox 360 *Extremely biased*

Thanks fine, we all have our personal preference but do you care to list why exactly you prefer an xbox 360 over a PS3?

It looks to me like you know very little about a PS3 and have only tried an Xbox. Personally I think if any xbox fan sat down and played around with a PS3 for a few hours they would swap sides pretty quickly. So far most of the people advocating the 360 in this thread clearly do not own or know very much about a PS3. If I feel motivated enough I will make a chart (unbiased) comparing all of the features an xbox 360 has vs a ps3.

**I own both of the systems and am fully aware of the features of both systems, although the 360 does have some advantages over the PS3 it also has a lot more disadvantages **

P.S. I did not buy my 360 it was a gift and I am glad, disc read error is Microsoft equivalence of the blue screen of death in the console gaming world.

P.S.S. Super Nintendo is still the best console ever made :D
 
i have used a ps3 on MANY occasions.

its all down to personal preference.

you all know where my allegiance is, and i yours, but there is NEVER going to be a definitive answer.

Its an interesting discussion regardless of the outcome. I fully expected more 360 lovers than PS3 when posting this thread because more people own a 360 due to the fact the PS3 was so insanely priced until recently.

either way they are both amazing consoles, just think, only twelve years ago we could only DREAM of such graphics capabilities and games concepts...

but i simply prefer the 360 ;)

Yea, the dreamcast was so ahead of its time. I bet you Sega still kicks them self in the ass for getting scared and backing out of the console market.

Phantasy Star Online was the shit!

Quake 3, etc were all awesome games.


I bought myself a panasonic 3DO for 600$ in the 90's (prolly the equivalence of like 1200$ now) that system was also so ahead of its time, it had AMAZING graphics for its time, hell the graphics even compete with the PS2 and it was released in 1993 it was the first 32bit console and even had an expansion slot for a more powerful GPU that was planned to be released.

Panasonic ended up selling out to some noname company and they went bankrupt and the system was a bust.

If panasonic played their cards right they could of totally dominated the console industry, now they aren't even a part of it.

The gecko series for the 3do was one of the funnest games I've ever played.

Plus the original alone in the dark!

meh, i never liked the dreamcast. sure, great graphics, but i dunno, the games for it were usually not my type.

and as for 3DO in general, do you remember the 3DO game company that made those army games featuring plastic army men?

the kids of the 70s n 80s had it too strict, and todays generation has it too lenient.
90s kids had it just right.

I deff loved the 90's -- I deff had a little too much freedom though it was definitely enjoyed, I started smoking pot in grade 5 and started doing coke in grade 9... I guess I turned out alright regardless of all that.

I was born 1986

Running around my small city unsupervised was some fun shit although we were hated by most of our neighborhood for being the "bad kids" and breaking lots of shit... I miss being a little shit disturber... Responsibilities suck although finally being legally able to buy alcohol and cigarettes is a bonus (I would say so is driving but I lost that privilege pretty quickly)
 
aha, well i was always running around causing mischief, but ALL the adults thought i was a lovely child.

little do they know it was ME in 1997 with that tin of industrial strength NAVAL PAINT who went wild around the towns pavements and stairs and walls.
that shit is STILL there to this day, all of about 1 mile of a dripped squiggly line trail all over the place :P

well, it IS meant to stay on battleships for years in salty air, so i was sure itd do even better in fresh air :D

my mum wasnt too happy when i put my light up shoes and popper sided tracksuit bottoms into the can to see if it was empty.

expensive shit + industrial grade naval paint = crying parents.



oh and i found a slow-worm that day, took it round everywhere and scared the fuck out of ppls parents with it. they most certainly are NOT slow.
hard as fuck to catch.

Haha I remember catching a can of tar on fire then kicking it over spilling hot burning tar all over my brand new shoes and pants.. I somehow managed to burn off an entire pant leg and melt a shoe in half without only a small burn on my ankle.. but yea my parents were not too happy about that. Plus it was hard to explain considering I wasn't supposed to "play with matches' at that age.


I remember my asshole friend sitting there laughing at me while I was on fire too. Bastard.
 
so what if I'm going to get flamed? they are practically the same, its mostly down to which system you owned previous to the release of ps3/x360 and which games you like more,

nah there are some huge differences in the systems the PS3 has a lot of extra features plus there are different titles that are only released on specific systems, halo for the 360... uncharted 2 for the ps3, etc...

brings back many, many, MANY memories of friends on fire.
lets just say my childhood was interesting.




and no, i didnt burn them.
it was usually the result of kerosene, a case of mr sheen, and a lighter.

Sorry, brainfart I didn't try to catch a can of it I kicked a can of it on fire sideways and it splashed out onto my leg/shoes.


Offtopic but I gotta tell someone about this... I was just having a smoke on my front steps and went to go throw my smoke on the road, did a backflip down my stairs and smashed my hip on 4 stairs on the way down so hard I instantly puked and got cold sweats... :(
