As we all know pills aren't worth buying at the moment, but I figure the situation will improve even if it takes a few years.

In the meantime, to get a buzz over the festive season I've been trying coke a few times. Anyone else tried this?

Anyway, at first it was good, but now its like I can't stop thinking about doing a line before I go out, or when I'm at a club. It invades your thoughts in a way that E never did!

You also have that feeling that you can never get enough when you do have it, and you get really selfish about it with your friends. Not to mention how much it fucking costs!

Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you move on from coke and kick that feeling of wanting 'just a quick line to pep me up'????

thanks

I could've got myself in a similar situation not too long ago.
When decent pills ran out my way I decided to try coke out.
I wasn't too sure of how good the quality was, but I figured I've tried it once and had my fun, time to go back to the softer stuff.
All I can say is maybe avoid the scene for a few weeks to break the cycle or use something else to keep your mind off of it.
Maybe not the best advice, but I stopped raving when I was doing pills too often, and have started drinking more often to avoid dropping.
Hope that sorta helps

I had my coke days. My situation was very similar to yours I got tired of shitty pills and tried coke. I did it every week for a year. And it was some good stuff. But soo expensive. I lost contact with my dealer, and just couldn't find decent stuff anymore. After buying wickedly stomped on stuff twice I just said the hell with it. After two weeks I was fine. If you want to quit you can. Find something else to do (not a drug) and focus your energy and time on that instead. Coke is fun, but you never want to remember the bad things that it can do or lead to, we tend to focus on the good times we had while high. Best of luck, be safe.

Mate if you're having that much trouble after having coke a few times never pick up the crack pipe, try fighting the urge hit that before you go out or just wanting to sneak into the toilets for a quick twirl.

Been there and done that.... Hard to quit.

Most coke users never really quit coke, they just run out of money. Great stuff, makes you feel like a new person. The problem is the first thing that new person wants is more coke... Good luck...

haha... decent puff is way overpriced these days, but yeah, 3+ years ago, and we'd all up the shitter.

many people are one-eyed cokeheads, you'll find. it's part of the elitism associated with the drug's effects, I'm sure....lol

anyway - be careful. cokeheads are annoying, in an arrogant way. and you'll find many of them tend to bang on & on about their sexual exploits... meh, not cool. and - for what Australians pay, quality wise.... fiending quickly becomes a colossal waste of time!! 8o

tried it a few times, it was okay. turns people into selfish egomaniacs. + its no fun listening to cokeheads go on and on about how many people they've "smashed"

ollley fuck buddy thx for motivating me for never coke ever, ill stick with mdma. thx a million.

Yup, that's coke for ya.

While I wish I could afford more of it the restrictive price is somewhat of a blessing in disguise. Think yourself lucky you're not in South America, I had a real hard time coming back here and start paying 10-20 times more than I had for the past year :(

That has a lot more to do with the people attracted to the drug than the drug itself imo. I find coke makes me pretty laid back, more so than if I was just drinking.

Damnnnn that's incredibly cheap 8o

An interesting point, I'm not one to generalise but I've noticed the people I know who take stims regularly tend to be somewhat more aggressive than their stoner/tripper friends... maybe that's just my group though.

I recommend trying your best to get out of it while it's still early in your addiction, the longer you wait, the harder this will become as the addiction becomes stronger and you fall further into coke using circles.

Not that you should swap one drug for another but, this is what you have done (MDMA-Coke) and swapping back is a better option IMO.

Try to remind yourself of the MDMA high, how much longer it lasts, how much love it gives you and especially how it doesn't sink it's teeth into you (something you will know all too well from coke use)

It's worth the wait for MDMA to come back and not using coke will save your health and bank balance

Coke addiction is a bitch, I learned my lesson in North America and i'm very glad it didn't cost me Aussie prices to do so.

Taking the price you are paying into consideration, why not buy a plane ticket to somewhere nice for a little while to get away from it all if you really are struggling to kick the habbit?

Welcome to bluelight muddymatt

You're stronger than cocaine :)

SWIM understands having lived in a source country for many, many years. The issue becomes how do you integrate it into your life, as cost/availability/purity isn't an issue. :)

thanks for the advice guys.

I'm sure I'm not too far gone yet, it is just the week after a binge and you know when those dark thoughts start creeping in (will I ever NOT want coke?), I think this thing will fade: partly a lack of funds, and I'm going to be doing less partying.

I have been reading this site for a while now before joining, and I think part of its value is being able to share experiences/emotions that result from drug use/abuse, and feeling like there is someone out there that understands where you are coming from!

So on that note, thanks again for everyone that chipped in with a little thought/experience - makes ditching the shit that much less lonely!~

M.M:)

Good to hear. While she can make you feel so good, she can make you feel just as bad. Hang in there...

Heed the words of psilo and cut it now before the hooks are in deep.

It all goes down hill 30mins after racking that last line and you suddenly decide that hocking personal or someone elses possessions is a good idea to get more blow
