To say that 20008 was a successful year for Anthony Attalla would be a drastic understatement. In January, Anthony was asked to headline the Miami Groove Cruise with well-known artists, Robbie Rivera and Cedric Gevais, and his performance left everyone in awe. Shortly after, Anthony was also asked to play the Los Angeles Groove Cruise in July, Making him the only artist requested to play both events in 2008. Continuing his successful residencies in Toronto, Montreal, Las Angeles, Detroit, and Cleveland, Anthony has also locked down new reoccurring gigs in Asia, South America and several addtional North American cities. Furthermore, his monthly party in Detroit, "Dirty Filthy Sexy," just celebrated its two year anniversary; a testament to his hometown fans' adoration and Anthony's ability to keep a loyal following through the years despite his now international presence.
Anthony also began to make serious waves with his production. His original track, Obsidian, was featured on Pete Tong's BBC 1 Essential Mix, was charted as Marco V's #2 track for WMC 2008, and was included in "Amnesia Ibiza 2008" mix compilation. Anthony's follow-up single's Dope Rope, Nut Collecta, and Black Tar reaching the Top Ten on multiple sites. Anthony followed these succeful tracks up with a monster remix of Discount Rhinos "Keep Control" that was the #1 downloaded track on Dancerecords.com for two weeks in a row. In addition, his remix of Lance Blalse's "Organik Bangkok" enjoyed several weeks in the Top 20 on Beatport. Anthony has done remixes for such labels as Definitive, Slanted House, Teggno, Audioholics, Proton, Neon Element, Sharple Style, CTS and Don't Look. All in all, seven of Anthony's Original and Remix productions reached Top 100 Charts during the 2008 calendar year.
With new opportunities every week, Anthony is becoming one of the most "in-demand" artists in the EDM scene. His show-stopping energy and charisma, both while he is performing and in person, has placed him into the limelight and labeled as one of the "next generation" of artists to shape the electronic dance music scene.
