Questions (B): Nodding - Like it or Hate it?

You don't "pass out", your in so much pleasure you can't keep your eyes open and they'll often roll into the back of your head, in a similar way to what a clean 'smacky' hit of MDMA can feel like, but obviously not the same (being a CNS depressant). Free of pain, free of anxiety, free of depression/sadness, you are in total bliss. Carefree and immersed in an amazing euphoria, no pain, be that mental or physical.

Personally, I LOVE nodding, to me nodding is not "passing out", it is the perfect balance between an incredibly blissful sleep, whilst being awake. You 'nod', as in you begin to drift off into a heavenly sleep, but you 'snap back' into being awake, then drift off again, and repeat. It may sound irritating, drifting off then, "coming too", over and over, but I assure you it isn't. It is what opiate/heroin addicts chase, that blissful nod.

this sums it up, an escape from all pain and worry..<3

Very well put puckboy, also I love it!

Maybe it's an issue of perception. When I was "Hard Core" in my youth, LSD produced euphoria like i've never experienced before or since. When I slam 60mg of Oxy at one time (on a 200mg / day tolerance), I do in fact nod out, but I don't really feel an overwhelming sensation of peace or oneness with the world. I just feel kinda tired and sleepy and like I wanna fight it and wake the fuck up.

Maybe I need to shot more than 60mg ... or maybe I need to try a different drug, or maybe I just need to lower my expectations and just "go with it", because it's obvious that you are all getting something from the experience that i'm not.

i thought that's why people got high on opiates, to nod? well initially at least, until you're doing it for sustainability.

I hope I NEVER get there. I'll find a way to quit then come back later. What's the point of just sustaining without ever gettin high?

nods = my best friend

theres nothing better than being immersed in euphoria and taken from my shitty reality

I'd give my right arm to nod out now, havnt even got enough codeine :( though i dont nod off that anyway

Oxycodone is much less "noddy" than heroin is, IMO. Oxycodone is probably the most energetic of opiates I have experienced, honestly.

The nod is different on different drugs, though. Hydromorphone and heroin are consistently rated as having pretty enjoyable nods.

its so hard for me to nod out ! i can shoot 5 30s in one shot and just get a boost of energy fo 45 min if im lucky ...but once in a while i will nod offf when im coming down on my normaly dose its weird ...i always want to nod but then when i do i kinda get anxiety and dont want to be noddin ....i always feel it will be better high then it really ends up being

I like to nod like only once a month. . .but usually I hate it!!!
I love the point where your about to nod out but your still really entergetic!
thats when I have my motivation and get shit done! lol
and some times I'll put too much in my line and start nodding out and I hate it.
because I'll nod of for hours and not get any homework done or not want to talk to anyone.
the only thing I've used to get the nod away is a nap. . .I wake up like I never did any opiates.
although that can become rather dangourous.lol

I love the nod, but I know people who hate it because they say its not euphoric and it feels like they're just passing out, to me it feels great.. guess its just different for everyone.

Love it. Especially love slipping into it, waking up, and repeatedly slipping into it. To me the first 10-20 seconds of the nod are the best, and experiencing that over and over is pure bliss.

I'm a nod hater. I love the initial hour or so after snorting a line of oxy/heroin, just a great/good feeling. I don't want to fall asleep however! And that is what the nod is basically making do. I want the relaxation/euphoria and I want to be FULLY aware of it.

Any tips for keeping the nods at bay during a heroin trip?
