Top of the morning as well, astronomical charles... and all you other merry pranksters

Ignoring the fact that its 4 o clock here, eating breakfast nonetheless
last week was tiring

I feel really refreshed right now , I suppose sleeping for 15 hours can do that to you

Just eating a little apple sauce and drinking some tea to start my day

I started taking Tryptophan recently to , maybe thats why I feel so great :)

Morning Charlie :)

Hows the weather up there? It's nice and crisp down here. It was in the 40s earlier this morning, should reach a high of 77 today :D

Startin' to perturb me a bit....

how so many people smoke deamsters, then immediately start going around ranting about Strassman and dmt release at death, dmt relation to dreaming, 2012 apocalypse, and (insert new-agey pseudoscience here). What I find most interesting, is how some people are able to conglomerate all these different pseudoscientific theories into some kind of congealed entity of quackery that spans from the mayans to the pineal gland, to aliens and wormholes, and of course you have to throw the word "quantum mechanics" in there to make it sound more sciencey...

I tell ya, some people need to develop a "bullshit-detector."

I agree Roger , I have a very hard time believing all of those DMT theory's

most of them seem like nonsense , and relating to 2012 I highly doubt the world is going to end

Just dont quote me on that ;)

It's probably because it's mostly dreamed up, dreaming relates to DMT, DMT relates to death, and dead we'll all be by 2012. Quantum-mechanically speaking that is.

I've been there though, excessive tripping leading open-mindedness to shift to lack of scepticism. Then you need some contact with your feet on the ground again and let a wind of censoring sweep over your ideas to detect the bullshit without any fundaments. I'd say try to be compassionate though, you can't really blame people for wanting to find out what it all means too much. Part of the human condition. Pay too little attention now and then and we all succumb to it.

I think it's inherently human to take any new information as true as long as it doesn't conflict with any information we already have. Proven effect. Add to that a really unilateral investigation of a subject and youve got yourself a steaming BS fest.

^Haha I mean, well I'm not being judgmental; DMT is such a deeply intense and paradigm-shifting experience that its natural to search for information to try to rationalize what ones expereienced. The problem is that there's really very little decent information out there, and the little amount of decent info that exists requires some familiarity with how to interpret studies etc.

Strassman is just such a joke, though; I honestly think Rick Strassman should feel quite ashamed at how he presented that Spirit Molecule book. I hear from people spouting off that "DMT during death" theory as fact.....people have even straight-up told me that I'm wrong, because its been scientifically proven that DMT is responsible for the after-life. 8(

I also blame Joe Rogan. For being a douche in general (:D), but also for becoming a self-proclaimed advocate of DMT (read: extremely large damn liability to the psychedelic community).

Anyways, not trying to be a downer here, I love DMT and I love to speculate about the DMT experience; but perhaps it would be a more interesting and fruitful discussion if Strassman's work was left out of that speculation. :)

I have listened to some DMT theorys but I do not support nor disagree with them, personally I have experienced a diffrent trip than on other psychs by using DMT. The trip is so believable because your brain is so clear and your able to think and you can tell you do not dream up this trip as it seems to have a mind of it's own, but that could also be the nature of the drug.

Regardless I am glad I have tried it and I am sorry for posting such nonsense if it is frowned upon.

By the way I am That Strange Guy, and so far it has been a pleasure to be part of BL.

^Hi there, friend. Welcome to BL and to PD more specifically. :)

Nothings really "frowned upon" here ('cept being mean); you can post whatever you like, just be aware that others will also post what they like and we may get ourselves into a friendly debate. :D

What did you do on friday, that strange guy?

By the way, I too think Joe Rogan is a bag to douche with. He definitely needs a harder elf slap.

^I could use one of those shiny new outlooks myself.

Its been too long since i've tripped; for some reason, even though I rarely use them, I've been feeling a strong pull towards taking mushrooms for my next trip instead of LSD. I think I'm at a point in my life where I need my ass kicked into line by the mighty mushrooms. :D

Personally I think this is more the fault of the people spouting these things than Strassman.. I thought in his book he was pretty good about making it very clear that all of his ideas were only theories. They're interesting ideas and when he explains what lead him to them in his studies it makes sense, but it is too bad that the fact that they are very unproven gets lost so easily as they are passed around
