valium and vodka

right now i'm on 55 mg of valium and am chugging some polar ice vodka. it feels good. i'm not dead. i've been reading in threads that this is a lethal dose of diazepam. this is the second time i've taken the drug, and i feel a good buzz but i'm not out of my mind. i guess i would just like some insight from fellow bluelight members.

Cuz you have a mad tolerance bro or something. If i took 55mgs alone diazepam I don't even know what'd happen :P Everyone is different. I could probably survive a lethal dose of oxycodone right now, doesn't mean everyone will. Although I do agree that a little bit of benzos and alc can be fun but I usually just get too sloppy.
 
15 milligrams of valium knocked me out SO fast, i didn't even see it coming. i don't even remember knocking out. it was such a waste, i hate sleeping on my high. and now im out of valium, FUCK!!!
 
Good for you... I highly advise anyone without a good grip of their tolerance to take benzos with alcohol... its asking for trouble... i'm not even gonna start on all the stupid shit i've done on booze and benzos...

the "big deal" is that you can easily OD.. most benzo OD's are in combination with alcohol or another CNS depressant...

In short; The effects are somewhat unpredictable, and possibly lethal. As they both are on their own obviously. Quite probably impossible to reverse the shit too once you go to far.
 
I took a crazy amount of valium with beer and tequilla once too. 85mg prolly, the bottle was empty the next day is all I know. Anyhow, I am thinking it's probably really hard to actually kill yourself on valium and alcohol. I didn't have any kind of tolerance when I did it (I was on my first 30 x 5mg scrip ever).

The problem with it, as has been mentioned, is that you will black out, possibly do some crazy shit, and remember nothing. I suggest at the very least you bring a camera/camera phone with you. It was the only way I was able to piece together most of my night.

Wrong. Valium by itself (or almost any benzo by itself) is really hard to OD on but once you throw other CNS depressants in the mix (like alcohol) it becomes quite dangerous.
 
Guys, please don't advocate this combo. They are both CNS Depressants, and CAN be lethal, and cause you to stop breathing. This thread should be closed. Shit isn't something to fool around with. Yes, you can mix the two at much LOWER doses, but 50mg's of Valium?! I am happy you have a tolerance or some kind of superpower to stay alive. Try not to do this combo any more.

55 mg of valuim is definatly not a lethal dose at all, what CAN be letal is mixing high doses with high doses of other downers. Just because something can be lethal doesnt mean you should be dead right now you didnt cheat death or anything like that. But I dont advise you keep doing this as it dose have the potential to cause you alot of harm, so why risk it?
 
55mg Diazepam can only kill you if you choke on a pill or have a severe allergy. Please don't mix it with alcohol if you have little experience.
 
Most people said essentially the same thing in this thread;

It's hard to unintentionally OD on diazepam, BUT the synergistic effect from combining with other respiratory depressants* is largely unpredictable.
When you add amnesia and loss of inhibition and judgement to that you're up for... well.. a serious downer.

*particularly alcohol I believe, because it not only shares the RD effects with diazepam, but also the impairment of judgment AND has a relatively fast onset.


Telling people on this forum not to experiment is like trying to control the weather, but at least start in the right end of the dosage spectra.

To not sound too preachy I will add that I plan to try the combo myself someday. Perhaps starting with one shot of hard alcohol and 5mg of diazepam, and see where that takes me. I might also throw in 20mg of ephedrine as prophylaxis against respiratory collapse, should I ever up the doses.

I have to concur, unfortunately. Dangerous but extremely fun. Just use low doses. One or two valium max (hide the rest, and hide it well) and half of what you would normally drink. Make sure someone else is there to wrestle you to the ground if you start breaking things.
 
I don't think that valium is great for everyone. For me it takes 30-50mg to feel anything other than 'fairly normal'. Why do people talk about it being lethal ? Because it often is. I would never advise it. And suggest it be discontinued.

Then again it's pretty good at controlling seizures...
 
I'd advise anyone to think twice before mixing ANY 2 drugs (and I'm not talking nicotine or caffeine). Everyone's body has a different chemical make up and tolerance.
