Ya gotta learn to use the search engine. Advanced search > Search titles only > Psychedelic drugs.

Few keywords:

Fresh: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/search.php?searchid=4678368

Dry: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/search.php?searchid=4678370

Big & Dandy Mushroom dosage thread > Search this thread > keyword "fresh" : http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/search.php?searchid=4678383

The low down: Fresh mushrooms are 90% water. Multiply your dry dosage by 10. For a 3 gram dry experience eat 30 grams.

I would still say 30 grams fresh would be stronger than 3 grams dry though. Mostly this is from the psilocin content. Psilocin degrades readily upon drying.

Google has an immense amount of information on this. You just have to pick certain keywords and if you don't find what you're looking for then change the words around. Searching is a useful skill to perfect.

Say you have 30 grams of something that gets you a certain level of highness. After you dry them you only require 3 grams to get to a similar level of highness.

You went from needing 30 to only needing 3. They got more "potent".

All you did was remove the water content though. Think about it.

err on the side of a lower dose.

with someone who takes as much ecstasy as you seem to the possibility of a bad trip might be more prevalent.

the psych will have an easier time taking you to the dark side of your mind.

haha, I should have expected nothing less from a character such as yourself.

for what its worth I'll go ahead and say it: 'oh no you shouldnt do that blah blah blah'

but you won't listen.

don't die, hopefully the gooms give you some perspective of how to treat your body and mind.

for you first experience it would be better not to combine them with anything so you get a true shrooms experience.

maybe smoke some weed on the comedown to bring back the trip if you want but other than that just experience the shrooms on their own

Not necessarily a bad idea to mix things (I love the shroom+dxm combo), but yea for your first experience you should feel the mushies on their own...get to know them a bit

Well I know for a fact that when you dry your mushrooms you lose 90% of the moisture. SO If it takes you 20grams of fresh shrooms then around 2grams of dried should do the trick.

I have grown Psilocybe Cubensis myself. I found this ratio pretty damn accurate.

Tiny side note: Most of the time the answer to questions that begin "Is there a difference..." is yes.

In this particular case the short answer is a small "yes" and a bigger depends.

Other people seem to have cleared it up, so I'll end my rant here.

One thing to take note of is that the balance of alkaloids in the mushrooms changes upon drying. So, I think it was psilocybin thats really prevalent in fresh ones but once you go and dry them stuff is converted one way or the other. That's not to say the lose potency specifically (in any case relatively) but they can lose punch.
Punch meaning, slightly fast comeup and bigger visuals, just a convincing drive.

A lot of babble of which it is only interesting to remember: drying is fine and not significant enough, but if you ever get the option get the fresh ones.
Keep peppersocks explanation in mind about the water content though. Potentiation by drying is about concentrating, not about gaining anything.

I think people generally talk about "shrooms" like it's one particular substance.

It's not always as easy as evaporation or no evaporation. Take Amanita Muscaria for example. Muscimol, Muscarin and Ibotenic acid... I'm too tired to spell it out right now, sorry. But I think wiki has a decent description of it.
