I've heard that some ergolines that have been shown to relieve migraines, but not LSD as far as I know. Al though LSD has been shown to relieve cluster headaches along with psylocibin mushrooms. MAPS is conducting studies into psylocibin and LSD for cluster headaches.
My friend uses psylocibin mushrooms medicinally. His cluster headaches come in cycles; a few months without headaches, and then a few months with increasingly intense cluster headaches. If he takes mushrooms before his headaches, he skips the entire cycle. If he takes mushrooms while he's having cluster headaches, the headaches stop until the next cycle.
He found out by mistake. When he was younger he did mushrooms for fun while he was having his headaches. He noticed the headaches went away but didn't think anything of it. The next time he did mushrooms he noticed that he skipped his entire cycle, and then remembered how his headaches went away the first time he did mushrooms. Ever since then he simply takes mushrooms at least once every five months or so and he never gets cluster headaches.
Has anyone found that any other tryptamines relieve cluster headaches? I've only heard of LSD and psylocibin, but I'm interested if any other typtamines can relieve them. I'd assume other chemicals similar to psylocibin would relieve them, such as 4-ACO-DMT and 4-OH-DMT.
Does anyone on BL have experience or know of any studies where they have been shown to be effective as well?
Are you implying all tryptamines can relieve severe cluster headaches? I'd like to see a study showing which tryptamines have been shown to be effective if you know of any.
