the official 2010 NFL thread!

oh shit!!! now axl, i know the game's not over yet, but i have to express my excitement at this very moment in time. :D

could the browns give us something to be proud of in this SHITTY SHITTY season!?

edit: and by us, i mean browns' fans, not me and you, obviously. even as bad as the season's been, a win against pittsburgh tonight makes me happier than i can describe!
 
A loss to the Browns....ouch! Pittsburgh is done, even Ward admitted it after the game. How do you give up 8 sacks to Cleveland?
 
I can't wait for this weekend's match ups.

Dallas and New Orleans is going to be a good game, I imagine. I think Dallas puts up a fight and possibly knocks off New Orleans from their perfect season, but I still think New Orleans will win most likely.

Also, Chargers/ Bengals and Dolphins/ Titans should be good. I pick the Chargers and Titans in reasonably convincing wins.

Of course, I'm sure I'll miss a bunch of these games because generally the only game broadcast around here when the Patriots are playing is the Patriots, and they play the Bills... neither team which I really care for, and only one of which is really good and has playoff potential.

Every time I have hope that the Cowboys can pull off a victory that matters, I realize their problem is that they suck at getting into the endzone. Their red zone plays are absolutely terrible. They are good at getting down the field and eating up clock. They even play a decent 2-3 quarters of defense. But they never fail to fail...... :(
If New Orleans made serious mince-meat of the Patriots. I don't see how the Cowboys stand a chance.
 
^They are looking damn good!

I hate the NFL network, they should totally be broadcasting this on a regular channel. This is certainly the game of the week!

NFL network runs commercials like anyone is gonna buy it. Those motherfuckers...they know people will buy it. I won't though, I always feel like the teams I want to win do shitty when I actually watch the game. Sports Superstition!

Holy shit the Charger-Bengal game was fantastic. Nate Kaeding is the man. Did anyone else see that hit that Tim Dobbins put on Carson Palmer on the Bengals final drive? That hit saved the game.
 
^Unfortunately, it wasn't broadcast in my area. GB vs. Pittsburgh was a good game too, though I would have rather seen SD vs. Cinci.

How "tactful" of you.

If, hypothetically, you WERE funny enough to write a brilliant joke about a 26-year old who tragically died THIS WEEK, you STILL might want to weigh the degree of the "funny" versus the offensiveness factor before telling said joke.

But since you had absolutely NOTHING funny to offer, saying "I could make a Chris Henry joke right now, but I should remember tact" is, in my opinion, the passive-aggressive equivalent of saying "I could make a joke about what a whore your girlfriend is, but I should remember tact."
 
Damn, Carolina looked pretty good tonight! I knew it would only be a matter of time before the teams with talent that kept losing got a few wins in!
 
i was waiting for someone to quote all my "saints > everyone else" when they lost to the cowboys.

guess no one did, but still, shit fucking sucks. DALLAS?? c'mon. i'm mildly pissed, but not really, seeing as they are still the best team in the NFC and Super Bowl bound.
