Good news in for me, thought I'd share with others that love that bitch pod plant fucker...
I just ended 2.5 year pod addiction(1st year 2x a day 6-10 tea, 2nd year and a half: 4-10 grounds). I had a sober week here or there a couple times only, thanks to kratom).
I took all my remaining and bundled them in lessor amounts over 5 weeks, labled 1x a day dosages, in roughly 3-4 day intervals.. The very last 4 days of the taper I made knuckel and crown stew(tea) and picked out shell flakes from mass quantities of seeds.
I exercised hard 5 days a week the past two months and got another endorphin addiction to take alongside the pods. I stopped my crazy sugar tooth the last 3 weeks of the taper and ate well cutting out most meat and dairy.
I must say that it was almost painless. In fact, as I got to 3 pods and less, the high became more enjoyable and I felt better (albeit a bit emotional) than I have in years. Almost no gastrointestinal discomfort just a little restless legs at bed time, so I switched my dosing before bed and problem solved.
I have two 8 mg suboxones that I could have gone without. I've been offa da pods for a week and taken 1 mg of them 2x over the week when I felt a tiny bit of discomfort at bedtime. If I wanted to I could have kept on minimal tea doses made from scraps.
2 months ago I was hopeless. I saw no way out of this aside from the halls of medicine, paying big time for methodone or suboxone or going through employment health insurance, now I'm completely off of them.
A big sweeping taper and a couple lifestyle changes. I can't overemphasize how painless this was for me- it was actually a positive experience. The money I've paid the past two years can now go to shit I really enjoy. Halleluja!
