Well, basically at all tmes musc is playing near me, and I liek lotsa different atmospheres hence: satan! =D

But yeah, I tend to be drawn to extreme musc, either extremely raw/lo-fi, extremely dark, extremely ambient, or just plain yeeha :)

Just throwin this out there, Bob Weir is an awesome screamer :)

im listenin to it now, I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of dead songs I havent even taken the time to marvel yet...so many songs, so little time :)

Then once you know all the songs, there are even more versions of it to hear, it never ends!

Everywhere he goes, the people all complain :)

God I fucking hate love and ladies 'n all that stuffz. Anyone in love essentially gets manic-depressive disorder. hehe :D

Yes indeedy. Love has got to be the most grueling up and down experience a human being can endure.

At times it sends your head spinning in very weird places and makes you feel, and behave utterly insane with a total abandon for social norms.

One time I got in a fight with my SO right in a hallway in college. Sure it was during a class and the halls were mostly empty but some classroom doors were open. Everyone could hear everything. Did I care? Hell no. For the time we were fighting I totally got tunnel vision and forgot there were other people in the building! :D

Love can take you to some crazy places :) <3

Love thyself and it becomes easier to love others....or so I've heard ;)

So true...been struggling with that exact principle lately actually :\

Just gotta keep on truckin....Does bob miss his mark about 40 seconds in to start singing? hahaha looks like jerry gets a good laugh about it

niiice one of my really good friend's brother is in black cobra

Thats awesome...theres only two ppl in it right? Is he the singer or drummer?

Nice tell her some random fuck from the internet says happy b-day! :D

But yeah I've been in the "in love with female best friend" situation for a long while now... and there's affection in return. But it seems like one day she's telling me the possibility of a relationship is something she's open to explore, and the next she's pursuing other romantic adventures. It's a very loving and affectionate friendship, just clearly not a dating thing. I don't know what to do anymore :P We both kinda agreed that it wouldn't "ruin" our friendship, she just say's it seems weird in theory because I've never really approached her as a partner before if you know what I'm trying to say.

Bah :P What I want to do is just say to her face to face that I want to try something new, because everything in my life right now is changing dramatically, for the better. And I think being with her would go along great, since we're sort of "partners" in these recent changes (especially sobering up). It's so easy to say I'll do that, but actually DOING it...ha.

This was the first Dead show I ever heard. I had taken 4 strong hits of geltab and was laying on my couch, I kinda got into the groove in the beginning of Dark Star, then the song goes completely silent for about 5 minutes in the middle, and I forgot I had been listening to music and all these trippy noises are going on sporadically throughout this long silence and I'm like "WHOOAAA MAN THERE DOIN' THIS PURPOSEFULLY TO TRIP ME OUT" =D, then there's this kind of descent into insanity swirling vortex of sound thing they do and Jerry just takes offf into the sweetest licks I've ever heard. Man that night changed my life. :D Been lovin' the Dead for a long time since, and I know my love will Not Fade Away. <3

Okay can someone tell me the essental Grateful Dead set/album/song etc.??

Im going to go with Rogers frequent recommendation and say 3/1/1969 Fillmore West is the show.... St. Stephen is the song for me right now, but Dupree's Diamond Blues is nice too...for sober heads :) For those times spent in swirlville I'd go with Dark Star... Idk if there is an essential song, i think whats essential is listening to as much live Dead shows as possible...then essentially you'll see what its all about ;)

^Hi there!! :D <3

Their 1969 Fillmore West Recordings are a great place to start. It'll give ya a taste of them at their most cosmic. :) My favorite is March 1st '69.

p.s. LSD and the Dead go together like milk and coffee. (using the coffee metaphor bc my house is FREEZING right now-- forgot to pay gas bill haha).
