What are your experiences with eating food with bud in it?
Anyone got a good recipe for some good cookies or brownies?

one time me and a buddy split 300 each on 4 ounces of some shitty bud, cooked two batches of brownies..

oh man they were so strong with bad weed, we called em sleepers.

I don't post very often, but this is one area where I can definitely give you a few pointers...

First off, to make pot brownies, pot cookies, pot cakes, and most baked goods, I recommend first making a batch of "I can't believe it's POT butter!" To do so, you will need the following:

4 sticks of unsalted butter
a Double Boiler, or two cooking pots (recommend one that the side handles will hold it up inside the other pot)
1/2 oz to 2 oz (depending on the quality) of bud
coffee grinder
Cheesecloth

melt your butter in the double boiler at a low temperature so as to prevent scorching of the butter. grind your bud using the coffee grinder to a level finer than you would use to smoke in a j... de-stemming the bud is not necessary, but you can if you wish. add the ground bud to the butter and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent scorching. allow this mixture to cool slightly, but still remain liquid. Using the cheesecloth, strain the butter off into a container with a lid, and using the cheesecloth, squeeze the strained bud to extract all the butter from it, cover and refrigerate the butter overnight to harden.

by using this method, you get a greenish tinted butter that has extracted the THC from the bud, as THC is fat soluble, and bringing it up to temperatures using the double boiler method, you allow the bud to release it's yummy goodness without scotching the butter and rendering it unusable

this butter can then be used in any recipe requiring fat or oil to be used and allows for great "Baked" goods!

To make bud butter I basically boil however much butter my recipe calls for (plus a little extra) in water with the bud. After all the butter's melted and the pot is incorporated, I reduce it to a simmer and let it go for 30-45 minutes (or however long you want to I guess, but I think anywhere between 30-45 minutes is perfect.) Then I strain the weed out of the liquid, and put the butter/water in the fridge and leave it there for a little while. After a while, the butter will harden into a lime green frisbee and you can pour out the disgusting brown water. Then, use it however you would use butter. I usually do a half batch of cookies--this year, I'm making bud-butter cookies. So cute!

my mate made some hot chocolate with bud in it the other day, apparently it did something, i wouldn't recommend it though

If you're a first timer, make sure to be careful when consuming pot treats. One of the first times I ever ate brownies we put a half of some decent beasters into a box of Duncan Hines easy mix. I ate one brownie and didn't feel anything for a half hour so I ate another. I tell you I was TRIPPING BALLS on weed. It's nothing like the feeling you get from smoking, it barely feels like the same drug to me.

If you don't normally get too deep into cooking I'd suggest just dropping your pot into a saucepan with some butter, simmering for a while, then just making an easy batch of brownies.

I like to just wrap up the butter in some toliet paper and swallow, it's easy, tasteless and efficient.

this is the first thread i saw about cooking weed so i looked it up. i want to share something about the smell of cooking cannabis. as we all know it stinks and can leave a residual odor that is incriminating for some. for those of us who need to hide the smell of cooking pot, i propose boiling some garlic powder or minced garlic in with your oil/water/weed mixture when making cannabutter. it really hides the smell very very well. i'm sure this has been posted elsewhere but oh well. i had an epiphany. plus it adds another dimension of flavor to brownies or whatever you use it in.

Oh man I loved eating weed

Just cook the weed in some butter to activate the THC and just follow pretty much any brownie recipie or instant mix

My friend just brought back the memeory of when the town was completely dry, and I managed to get an ounce of weed and made it all into brownies and I had everybody calling me asking for weed and I said I made it into brownies and they all got mad. But those 4 brownies kicekd some serious ass my friend

FIRECRACKERS: Love them. Take two saltine crackers and spread fatty peanut butter on them. (I use skippy) Then sprinkle very ground up weed on one of them. (I use more weed if skagg and less if dank) Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the weed. Put other cracker on top to make a sandwich. Wrap tightly in foil. Put in oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. I make 7-8 at a time. They keep well. I eat one a night and get a great buzz. It takes a while to feel it. Anywhere from 1-2 hours. Enjoy!!
