Mephedrone Megathread: Five heart attacks later...

Yeah, can understand it with a more straightforward stimulant like amphetamine, but I wouldn't want to study on Methylone/MDMA/Mephedrone.
 
No, the euphoric qualities would just put you off, and lead you to seeking social interaction and loud music.
 
^I was under the impression that it had a similar action to methylphenidate, but I haven't done it, I'll take your word.
 
Don't take my word. I've never tried to study on it. I've only had it once. Listen to everyone else.

Meph + A lot of booze = Recipe for disaster. Took me a while to work that out. Your heart can really go apeshit for hours. I think its because your dehydrated from the alcohol. Neck shitloads of water to re-hydrate.

Amp's are better hands down, but if you're in a pinch, it gets the job done. Low dose

nah i always keep pretty hydrated, dont often wake up dehydrated either. im more worryed about heart valves fucking up or whatever is ment to happen. in what way does mixing stims and depressants fuck your heart up? is it valves or something else? i assume warning signs would be pain of some sort, if my heart was fucking up

Didn't you say that you had depression and anxiety brought on by worrying about the damage using MDMA may have done? As MDMA is pretty benign and its effects are well known, why the hell would you use a drug that's known to be harmful? :\

Also, some posts have been removed - no bulk discussion even in jest.

Mixing stims and depressants doesn't cause heart damage. People are saying that meph can possibly cause heart damage, with or without booze.

I know this but I guess I'm denying the risks because I so want to get high. I have 2 ways of thinking. A positive "everything will be ok" way, when I want to get high. And a negative "I'm fucked beyond help!!" way, after taking drugs. I need to finally learn from my mistakes though.
 
Why not try methylone rather than mephedrone if you want to get high legally, Rick? It certainly seems to be a lot safer and even though I'm not a fan of either I'd definitely go for M1 over meph if I wanted a legal, euphoric stim. If you're as anxious about the health implications of drug use then surely choosing to use a drug without the issues meph has would be a better option, no?

Colt: Treacle is right - uppers + downers are not known to damage the heart as such as far as I know (although it ain't exactly good for you :D). Meph is metabolised into a chemical which does damage the heart which is why there are concerns. How much damage it does is the unknown part.
 
Yeah maybe I'll get a g of M1 and give that a shot. I guess the thing with meph is I'm still not convinced all the heart stuff here is not just paranoia. Also I don't really have paranoia about my heart, just my brain.
 
It's also suspected to be neurotoxic ;)

The heart stuff isn't paranoia - tis a fact, from all I've read. Just about every chemical closely related to meph does the same thing and many of them have caused death from heart problems. It's whether or not meph is as bad as it's close chemical cousins that is still up in the air, as far as I know.

It does seem to be a fact but I think it is exaggerated a bit on here (not necessarily a bad thing seeing how people are so quick to eat tons of it)

You don't see someone mentioning having had a few grams of coke & five people instantly going "YOU WILL HAVE HEART ATTACK OOOOOOOHHH NOES"
