Fentanyl patches - ideal alcohol to use?

I've noticed a number of posts mentioning the use of isopropyl alcohol as a means of extracting fentanyl from certain sources (e.g. fentanyl patch) The theory stated to justify using isopropyl alcohol was that it is less toxic than denatured alcohol. Whether that's the case or not, my question is whether "Un-denatured, anhydrous ethyl alcohol (100 percent / 200 proof)" can be used as the safest alternative?

I noticed several chemical supply companies sell 250 mL to 500 mL bottles of Un-denatured 100 percent ethanol for between $35 - $70 (depending on volume). However, I'm a little bit wary as to whether the product could still contain minute contaminants making it unsafe for human consumption. The companies mention a disclaimer that the alcohol being sold is not meant for human consumption. Yet isn't the definition of "Un-denatured" that the substance is in fact fit for human consumption. The price for the product factors in payment of the federal excise tax for non-denatured ethyl alcohol.

In short: (1) How safe is un-denatured, anhydrous 100 percent ethyl alcohol and (2) is there any particular value to using such a product as a fentanyl solvent?

IMO you woud be better off coping but...

You sound like a smart guy; you also don't sound like you have any idea what is used to that poision more poisionous. I have a feeling that there's various compounds that may be used to denature ISO, some being naster than others. I also get he sense that there is very little Gov. oversite wth such products.

If you do feel the need to go with iso why no buy 90% undentured at any pharm and look distilling it?

Did the resellers ^ mention what grade (for example industreal, lab, etc..)? If they did not I would be very suspcious. If they did claim anything other than industreal grade I would be very spectious, just less so. My main consern would be the content of heavy metals.

Good luck w/ everything

Is it really worth risking the consumption of the alcohol?

Do you really think it will have enough of an effect to be worth the risk?

oh dude. whoa. dont use iso!

any acidic compound works. im actually NOT ALLOWED TO TELL YOU because mods are picky about it, but uhhh... be vitamin creative.

^ You are allowed to tell him. Just no synthesis discussion. Extractions are completely different.

I would just use isopropyl from a local store with as high as grade as you can buy, even 90% would be fine. I wouldn't worry about the solvent being left over in the fentanyl powder. You are going to evaporate the solvent anyways. But I would worry about having fentanyl powder because unless you have a scale that can measure micrograms, it's going to be dangerous and stupid to even dose the fentanyl. The risk of extracting fentanyl from the patches isn't worth the benefit. Just smoke or use the patches bucally or transdermally if you want to abuse them. Relatively pure fentanyl is just a great way to overdose especially if you are going to IV or even smoke the powder.

Have you ever even seen 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, or 100mg of a powder? It's a hell of a lot smaller than you would think. Don't extract the fentanyl man unless you have a very expensive scale.

I don't think I'd care if you tell him he needs citric acid.

Who told you not to tell people to use citric acid? Everyone knows that's what you need to dissolve crack for example...I don't see a problem just because it's fentanyl.

Everyone has been fairly warned (or at least should have been) that fentanyl has very little euphoria for the amount of respiratory depression it gives you, so I hope people would heed these warnings, say screw fentanyl, and go out and buy some heroin instead.

Obviously not everyone is going to do the safe choice...so for those of you using fentanyl, start SMALL. Don't start at all, but if you do, start small.

Very true.

The only way to do this without a scale is to know the amount of end product, then to water measure it.

Thank you for the warning, wiggi.

my post was deleted before when i write a guide on how to properly do it, ive been doing it for a while it works awesome.

vinegar or vitamin c (ascorbic acid) works perfectly! you take a really really REALLY small square, put it on your spoon thats either filled with vinegar or your vitamin c solution, then cook it for a while. like a long while. add lots of water before hand. then just filter it up and boom. slam that shit. perfect fentanyl injection, rocks your world harder than any h ive tried and ive done it all.

also you need to use PURE VITAMIN C powder, with no additives. it comes in a crystal form. works perfectly into turning water itto ascorbic acid.

oh yeah, and dont miss! it hurts like a BITCH!

id be careful using citric acid to dissolve it though, unless you dilute it quite a bit. i attempted this and my forearm swelled into a nightmarish double size beast with sausage fingers on my hand for a week...maybe it was a bad extraction but it just went...idk...bad.

let it sit for about 15 minutes and cook it while the gel sort of disappates. itll be fine. ive done it lots. id still prefer a sticky patch but i still like slamming the gels.
