HPPD after AMT

So hey'a y'all.

I've had a couple very mild AMT trips, and 2 very good solid ones.

After my first solid trip which I'd guess was around 25-30mg, I had noticed afterwards things sometimes seemed a little, well, glowy. Kinda like when you're at the very tail end of a trip and things are still wavy or whatever.

I kinda wrote it off. But it has lingered.

Then about 2 weeks later from the first solid trip, and a week ago, long ago I got some more AMT, and smoked a bunch up. Had a very nice +2.5 and enjoyed it a lot.

For the last week though, ive occasionally noticed my letters in typing doing a wiggle. It seems less frequent today though. And it just would happen at complete random, it kinda looked like the letters where being shaken when I typed them.

I've also been able to very very very vaguely make out the classic drug patterns on some things. Not all the time though. It has caught my attention on some surfaces.

Just curious if anybody's ever noted any type of lingering thing from AMT like this. I will say, today and yesterday seem like the first days I haven't noticed it. It hasn't been a problem or unpleasant, just kinda odd.

Yeah that's really strange. I went through a little less than a gram of AMT in a month and never noticed anything like that.

But I tripped a few times on 2c-c and for few weeks later I had slight visuals. I didn't even trip that hard but the visuals still persisted. They went away after that and it's been over a year and nothing more has surfaced. I wouldn't worry about it too much but if it starts interfering with your life then I imagine you should see a doctor.

2ci has been the only drug where i noticed the visuals persisting after the trip ends, into the next day or two sometimes. (this happened more often when i first started using it)
Usually its color saturation and if i stare at something i can make psychedelic patterns appear.

Its always gone away after a little while though. Or i grow used to it and it doesnt bother me and i dont notice.

if it was HPPD you're going to know it. Every visual symptom persists non stop all day, everyday.

Yeah exactly! I remember reading somewhere (most likely here on bluelight) about some people experiencing the same thing on some 2c-x's, but never on AMT...

I think I recall reading aMT being more frequently associated with persisting hallucinations than most other psychedelics. Someplace on Erowid I believe, along with LSD and 5-MeO-DMT. The text could have been baseless, so could my memory, but it was true for me with 5-MeO-DMT. After I used it weekly for a while I noticed while I read I would see tiny rows of bubbles underlining the text. Clearly it wasn't a disorder, though. It took about 3 or 4 months to go away, even as I continued to use other psychedelics once a month. I've never had any of those type of symptoms after aMT use, but most of my use is at sub-psychedelic doses (though you wouldn't think "sub-psychedelic" looking at my pupils).

I gather from coming across your posts here and there over about a month that you've been using it pretty frequently. It's not like most other psychedelics; it's a strong monoamine releaser. It's a bad choice for frequent moderate to high dosing independently of whether or not it's more likely to cause persisting hallucinations. Of course, it's comparably non-commital euphoria also makes it one of the few psychedelics that lends itself so naturally to such a regimen.

Honestly I havent used it much. I've been posting about it.

I've probably had, like I said, 2 solid trips, and maybe 4 little ones. And thats it.

The first two small ones and 1 big one, were like in a week span, then the next ones were in another week two weeks after.

So you're talking 2 real trips, 4 light ventures in a month.

And I have to admit it seems to have disappeared so far. It never really bothered me though. But, I think I'd switch to something else for a while. Its kinda like how DiPT can leave lingering tinnitus for a while after (did to me). Better to stop on it.
