DJ Indiana Jones works harder than any other DJ I've ever seen at the Mel. Arsenic played some nasty techstep badassery and Vinny Bricks blew me away. It's a shame more people didn't see his set because it was killer. Very very very smooth.

I'm going to trump the first statement u made by saying top speed has that crown by light years. not too take anything away from ron but that's probably a fact no juxt resident would legitimately dispute. I will agree that he and gabbie both impressed me w their versatility...good night but next wk is going to be the big enchilada...

I guess that depends on your definition of "Hardest Working".

Is that based on how many times they play? Events they are behind? Time in the studio?

Not disputing either statement (because I certainly don't know), just wondering what the qualifications are for that title.

Fair enough, top speed is pretty hard to beat. I didn't see his set at the Mel, but I did see him throw down the old school jams at a breakdance battle (at Spin, right before it closed).

I was referring to the amount of effort it seemed he put into his set. He was mixing what seemed like a new track every minute, had some great energy and was dancing harder than anyone in the place. I was impressed.

Ahhhhh...ok.

When Topspeed was about to go on at the Mel, he did a little scratch on Jackola's last track or 2nd to last. It was pretty cool.

He used to run shit at The Casba on Thursday nights when it was just a sweaty breaker bar. I loved it! lol

That brings me to an interesting observation that you guys may be able to shed some light on.....

In every city I've ever lived (which is quite a few), breakers and Drum and Bass run hand-in-hand. Why don't they here? They're RARELY even at any electronic event in this city.

And I know we have some here (see Casba statement above).

Anyone know what's up with that?

I would say that every time speed gets behind the decks he's trying to outdo his last performance. he's also spent a lot of time and energy developing protoges by tutoring eager to learn dj's. throw in his tenure at 96.3, affiliation w the zulu nation plus his ability to crate dig like no other dj I've seen in this city gives him my vote. the guy is the epitomy of a true dj. he lives, eats and breathes not only hip hop but dj culture in general. there's only one top speed and about a hundred other dj's here in town...I dare anybody to step to him on the contrary. trust u will get served like a happy meal at mickey d's...

believe me... I've been trying to figure that out myself. I think d'n'b kinda wore it's welcome out in Indy, outside of the scene at least. A lot of hard shit... all the time... for a few years.
Scared people maybe? haha

international drug site with a Russian internet country code top-level domain

And really... nowadays... I drink and I smoke my herb. That's about it. Maybe something more recreational once a year or so.

But I'm too old anymore... honeymoon eneded a while ago.
