this is starting to scare me more now, i just got a pretty bad "twang", "buzzing" type of pain for like 0.000001 seconds in my left hand. the weird thing is when i INJECTED the shit it didnt hurt at all, only noticed the jabs of pain after. whatd going on in m left fucking hand!!!?? i dont wanna go to the hospital cuz well it takes forever and its only mild pain and very occasional but sooooo weird and annoying
WTF havei done this time

well, i can llok at it from the bright side as always. if its nerve damage. maybe the doctors will script me more legally-owned pain killers. YAY, PAIN!!!
since i have twitches in other body parts, could it be BRAIN neurological damage?? from a virus, or even a flu shot that corrupt doctor gave me?? seriously- helps>??

Sounds like you hit a nerve, but it's pretty hard to tell over the Internet. If it keeps up for another day or two, you might want to consider going to a clinic or something, at the very least.

fuck i felt it in my right hand a bit again too, like last night, and itchy as fuck all over even hours and hours after last dose
i think i got some kind of weird thingy
some kind of brain virus or something

is it possible i injected a fucking strand of cotton or something solid? cuz the pain in the left is feeling a bit worse each "pang" - mainly in the wrrrist now - maybe cuz i was fondling it heavily :\

yep, i think it was the fondling - not as bad now

what would a solid "thing", like a piece of cotton or pill, do if injected?@?@???! scary shite

A missed shot of Caine will numb the hell out of the limb, and can create quite the bump for a minute. If it doesn't hurt after the Caine wears off and the arm/hand isn't swelling you likely just missed hit. Hopefully it does scare you from IV use, I said the same thing and found myself prepping a shot the same night

Please take yourself to the emergency room. Due to HIPPA laws they can't disclose any information to the police or anything, but they may send you to a mental or detox facility and bakeract you after you get medical attention, which you need.

It's pretty much a Catch-22. If there really is serious damage, not going to the hospital could result in the loss of your hand, serious infection, and so forth. If there's nothing wrong then you're stuck with the bill.

Something a lot of people don't realize is that you can be committed against your will for these types of things. I overdosed unintentionally once, and from the hospital I was sent to a "stabilization unit", where they kept me against my will for ten days. Needless to say this caused me to lose a job, and all that good stuff.

In the end though, it's better to be safe than sorry. You don't want to be walking around with a hook for a hand. If possible, don't disclose anything about your drug use that you don't have to. I say this just because it may help keep you from being sent off somewhere.

Don't think that's quite true, otherwise doctors wouldn't use needles on patients.

do you know anyone who has gone through chemo or something else that requires a lot IV injections? thats why they have central lines installed because eventually your veins will get all used up. its a fact of life if you inject.

Yes, I know that. That's essentially my point, most other people won't need to have that many injections, and if you have good veins, are generally healthy, and circulate injection sites, should be able to use your veins for a long time.

Not every IDU has collapsed and/or hardened veins...

shite, the part of my vein that i shot into before the handwrist thingy, is now massive, lumpy big blue part of the vein. i dont wanna even start looking like a junky even .000001% :) fack :\

my left vein, in the same place, is lumpy and enlargened too
its cuz i went to get blood tests done twice in one day, and the second time, the nurse fucked it right up, left a huge lump

stupid cunt. she was nice but obviously not in good form or not too bright.

ive shot into there before an after, probly wont much now tho, if it is indeed "sclerosed" (ill ask my doc next time i go)

ironically, the blood test was to check for hep ABC and hiv :\

:( miserable fucking medicalised world lol

*tha being said, i think if i leave that site alone it will return to ~normal

Everyone said it - if you actually hit an artery, you should have been gone to the doctor long ago.

I hope you made the right decision.

Once we hear back from you, this is going to get merged into the IV Complications Mega Thread.

Sorry to hear about the missed shot.

the consensus is go to the hospital and i agree. artery shots are not something to gamble on. check out the thread djsim posted, the case studies thread, if you havent made up your mind after that then there's not much else you're going to learn from here.

merging askaquestions thread into the IV complications thread.

sounds like you hit a nerve. impossible
to say over the web but like captain H.
said you'd have a lot of inflammation
if you had hit an artery.

Oh, OK

There's another one LW that I was going to wait for the OP to report back before merging into here

but thanks for doing it for me

good to see you around m8

i dont think it was an artery either, im almost sure, cuz its a classic vein site
note: u guys do realise the part i injected into and the part that hurts are different, on the same arm - inside my elbow where i stuck the needle, and in my hand/wrist is the "annoyance"

is it possible some "thing" got "stuck" in a part of the vein/muscle/tissue/whatever and is continuously irritating the nerve? (my usual worst case scenario type thing i know) or is it more likely i simply irritated the nerve in such a way thats still kind of painful here ad ther. that part of the vein (in the crook of my elbow) is slightly enlargened, a slightly harder "lump" type vein section from a slight over-use as of late.
besides the weakly, stabbing pain feeling the arm feels alright. god better leave it alone soon tho.'

again, the pain is all around the wrist and hand, even the pinky, man i just got some fcking annoying atabs of back of hand pain. quite painful at this point these pangs make my hand and even wrist feel very weakly,,,,,,,,, mayebe i jut need sleep lol

ok. i just had it in my right hand/wrist/fore-arm a bunch of times just now. could this possibly be carpal tunnel or somehing ? why is it in both hands and wrists now? WTF MATE? but the bottom of my left wrirst is where its worse...faaaaak

^ha beat ya;) yeah i think i saw that other thread you were talking about but i can leave that for you to merge later on if you want, no sweat. and it's good to be around too, man. this place gets a little normality back in my life;)

control denied - settle down with the posting, edit your original posts to add in anything you have instead of double and triple posting. it's a bad habit and deters people from answering and helping you.

i'm not sure what to make of your situation. you could have hit a nerve and not felt it initially and now your suffering the pains after it's happened. you could have possibly even had the tip break through the vein and a little bit of the hydro has been IM'd, which would cause you some pain and most likely a small lump depending on how many units you missed and if you missed at all.

edit - i didnt see your last reply before i posted but with you describing the bump and enlarged area then i'm willing to bet you've passed through the vein and accidentally IM'd some of the solution.

what you want to do is run the lump under a hot water tap for 5 mins or so at a time, 3 or 4 times and then get a hot compress and keep pressure on the site on and off over a couple of hours. the hot compress helps the IM absorb into your body easier and eliminates a good deal of the initial lump and pain. if you've got some neosporin or vitamin e cream then rub some of that over the lump as well.

i'll merge this into the IV complications thread where you'll find some more valuable info on similar situations.
