Just ordered a Marquis test. Will this go purple even if the test subject is Mephedrone/Methylone?

Is there a different test that tests JUST for MDMA?

Just dont want to be fobbed off with some methylone/mephedrone when i go to buy some, wanna test it.

Mephedrone is supposed to turn the marquis Pale Yellow - MD.. will turn it dark purple to black :)

Im actully trying to find a picture of a test result for mephedrone if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Oops forgot to add if you look at the following threads it may give you a better understanding on how to tell MDMA from all the other MD..'s / MD.'s

Marquis by itself is a bit limited, although it's probably one of the better tests. There are a couple of reagents that test specifically for the methylenedioxy group. One using chromotropic acid has been proven to be reliable, particularly with dilute solutions of MDMA.

A 1% solution of sodium nitroprusside (warning; dangerous poison) can be used to detect ketones. With all three above reagents and the amine kits, it should be possible to differentiate between MDMA, methylone, 4-MMC and so on. Mixtures are more difficult.

Nice one yeah just read some of the reports on the cherubs on PR, yellow for mehphedrone and bright yellow for methylone, good, at least they dont turn it purple.

I have managed to get a hold of the results of Marquis on Methylone - thanks to Sunsetter :)

Now if somebody can test mephedrone in the same way and supply a photo of the results...

^^ I didn't take a picture but with 4-MMC (Mephedrone) Marquis 1st made slight dry patch then fizzed, then stopped. No colour change or maybe very slight pale yellow with larger ammount used. If there is a very slight pale yellow then it's so so mild it could easily be seen as nothing. Putting 4-MMC into Simons reagent made a dry patch then slowly a faint/faded dark blue was seen.

Thanks a lot for this :)
