☠ WARNING ☠ Warning: Mislabeled Batch of 2C-B-Fly That Has Caused Deaths

Most psychedelics are harmless, I'm curious to know what the chemical is.

Well AMT can cause death can't it, I recall it being easy to OD on, and psychedelic amphetamines (and PMA, if that's a psychedelic) as well. I feel sorry for anyone expecting a psychedelic trip and getting death.

I think the guy was doing a good job supplying people with "legal" psychedelics though, anyone who does that is a good guy in my book, he didn't know about the chemical, but labs should be more careful when they produce this shit, despite the cryptic long-term effects of RCs, I would probably guess most are okay (psychedelics anyways) if the dose is good.

You guys can't blame him he didn't know about it, I would think a lab synthed chemical would be a trusted source.
 
^ There's noticable lack of trip reports to back up your speculation.


That aside I'm interested to know what the toxicity was caused by - some toxicologist stating it was "tainted" doesn't really help at all.

There are reports on erowid from the incident in California and from Joanmiro's. Maybe you and your friends should send a report too?!

AMT has that tinge of MAOI action so im sure its possible.

But really, every chemical on planet earth can cause death, or be used properly...

One can drink too much water and have kidney failure.

So likewise every single psych has a potential to do harm, or good, depending on its dosage.
 
I'd guess that they either lack the motivation or capability to properly analyse it - probably the former. I mean if they nail it down it'd be like handing intelligence to their enemy in the WOD - their enemy & their electorate - how quaint - almost medieval
 
I second the thought of motivation lacking...

Especially knowing that, most likely, that one baggie is the only baggie nearby, its just gonna end up in some trash bin..

Which irritates me.

Anyway.. can we expect an analysis soon?
I´ve sent requests to different safer-use-drug-testing-labs, but they had declined to test it. I would have to bring it there personally, but it´s too far away.
Another lab that answered my mail is too expensive.
Dammit.

Edit: if someone knows an adress where to analyse it, please send me a message with your contact details (email/cspace-key)..

Bluelight and Erowid should pony up and pay for the testing of this. For the sake of the community.
 
Hi , I am a biochemist. The contaminant is likely one of the following:



2C-B-FLY_SAR.png


1) bromo-dragonfly
2) 2c-b-dragonfly
3) 3c-b-fly

I would bet on #3 because substituting nitroethane for nitromethane would result in the amphetamine homologue 3c-b-fly. This would probably be at least 10x more potent and whichever it is, it is clearly very toxic.


If anyone has this deadly compound and is intrested in doing a GC/MS analysis please contact me via PM. I can recommend the lab I use. I can also help you read the results of the mass spec. Cost of analysis is around $80.
 
Anybody wanna get a pool going on this? I'd love to help pony up a few doubloons but I dont really wanna go broke here, already hurtin from the loss of the chem as is. If mr Shamwow here takes paypal we could all just throw a few bucks at him to get an analysis done

I tried PMing you barstool hooligan, but it won't let me b/c I am greenlighter. Here is what I tried to send you

"Hi my name is --- I am a biochemist from --- , I can tell you how and where to get it analyzed. It will cost about $80. You only need about a hundred micrograms for the analysis."

Btw I don't want any money I will just tell whoever has the sample where to send it , to include money order made out to the lab, what forms to fill out, how to fill out the analysis form etc. Then he can upload the mass spec once he gets the results back, for interpretation by the chemists.
 
i heard this story from a third party before reading this thread, i was told "it was a bad batch of 2c-b in denmark, and the vendor died after taking 18mg. however, before that he had just shipped a large amount globally."

Could that last part be true?
 
Yes it is very true friend. Welcome to the thread.

Vendor died, a guy in CA died, and the chemical has been shipped all over the place we figure. I bought some with a few friends, and it all went to one person, not me, and he's got it.

So yeah pretty much right.
 
80$ would be very cheap.. but i am a poor student, i am not able to pay this alone atm.

If one of the bluelighters can contact shamwow (it´s called shamwow because everytime you use it - you´ll say wow) or knows another lab to test it cheap, my friend will provide the 100mg.


I´ll contact erowid tomorrow too.. lets see what they´ll say.

I read this thread a couple of nights ago when I was in the middle of a intense trip, thankfully on blotter obtained in the US. I am so sorry for the people that were harmed from this. I know I have as I am sure others have as well been so easygoing about ingesting PDs offered from trusted friends. I will think trice for sure now. I wanted to comment on something I read on Joan Miro's experience on Erowid. There was mention of experiencing brain "fireworks". I used to be on antidepressants (I think I have tried them all) and what made me stop taking any was the drug Effexor. While on this drug I experienced "brain shocks". It was so bad, it took me over 6 months to taper off this drug. I know PDs affect serotonin and dopamine levels. Could this be some clue?
 
I'll help pay for this lab analysis, how much is needed? I'm just a high school student so there really isn't a better place to put my money. This is very important to me.
