i went to school with a kid who is pure red-neck but when he gets drinking, he adopts an australian/irish/englsh accent.
i think accents are sexy, any kind but spanish more than french.
 
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who'd been on a date with a guy who had recently moved to Sydney from Nth Qld. She said, 'He was really nice. Chivalrous, even. But I can't get past the accent. My god. Even when he was saying something intelligent it sounded stupid.'
 
Oh North Queensland huh? Yeah, the accent's pretty thick over there. I've heard some stories that they can't understand you unless you mimic them. :|
 
Then they're nothing but stories.
I've been way up North and way out west, no problems talking to people.

To be honest it is painful even reading Australian social sometimes the accents are so thick. 8o

Chance, dance, pants and prance do not all rhyme with ants! It is the Queens English, please use it with respect. :X
