Ecstasy and Jaw Dislocation???

Hi, I has been taking drugs for a few years now including lsd, ecstacy, molly, dmt, shrooms, salvia etc.

two days ago I decided to take ecstasy after not touching it for a year. I took a good dosage and at the end of the roll he began feeling massive amounts of jaw tension. I was very stupid and forgot that only chewing 1 piece of gum fucks your shit up since two is minimum as acting as a separator for teeth. so, at the end of the roll I started feeling a gross movement of my jaw from side to side, popping and clicking and a different overbite than I had before. I has pressure on both sides of my ears and his neck is in some discomfort.

is my jaw dislocated? will it pop back? should I see a doctor? the feeling is uncomfortable but not painful. just kind of gross.

Hi and welcome to BlueLight. First your post was edited because the use of 'SWIM' is not allowed here.

I have never heard of jaw clenching so severe it leads to dislocation. I sometimes get the clicky weird felling in my jaw and all I can tell you is that its totally unrelated to MDMA

thank you for your response, but i am very sure that this was the cause of my jaw clenching from use of ecstasy not MDMA, this pills were definitely cut with something else. possibly cocaine as they were blue dolphins with white specs. ive heard that legit blue dolphins contain cocaine, but ive only tried cocaine once before and never again so i cant really tell you if there was or wasnt coke in them

however, this problem has caused a different look on my face and feels extremely odd with all the symptoms i described on the first post. thank you for your response

however, is there anyone else with any insight on this?

If you're truly concerned go to a doctor immediately. Last time I rolled I took quite a bit of magnesium to fight the jaw clenching... either way, next morning my jaw was still VERY sore and I thought that I too had dislocated something.

Two days later my jaw felt absolutely fine and back to normal. I'd say if your jaw persists like that for over a couple days seeing a doctor may be the best option. Good luck

did you feel like you had an overbite, more than normal??? any neck stiffness or pain? pressure on the ears and side to side/ up and down clicking movement of jaw?

t doesnt sound like your jaw is dislocated. it would hurt. its probably just really sore and your face is swollen. but i dnt see a pic so go to the doctor. u never know.

Go to a doctor, but I highly doubt it's dislocated. After a night of hard rolling, my jaw hurts to the point that I can't even chew or open it up wide. It just feels like my jaw rests differently after I roll (like it closes differently, almost) because it's so sore...but then it goes away in a day or two.

You can't even really fit enough coke into a pill to get anything from it orally. Try eating a small amount of coke and see how fucked up you get.

Also unless you have these pills you don't have cocaine in them unless your dealer likes tossing money away since putting coke in pills makes them cost more to make than they can get from selling them.

As for that pill it basically stands alone. Sounds like someone dropped cocaine in a press by accident

Hey cymthoe, I seem to have this problem with my jaw at the moment. I haven't been able to open mine properly after taking some MDMA pretty much a week ago.
Did your jaw ever return to normal? Did you have to go see a doctor/dentist in the end?

I sometimes get the clicky weird felling in my jaw and all I can tell you is that its totally unrelated to MDMA

So your honestly telling me, after a night of gurning away on MDMA that jaw tension has NOTHING to do with it? wtf?

the ecstasy ive been taking has all been either MDMA or MDMA + a bit of amphetamine and ive had the exact thing you describe where my jaw would feel out of place.. like it feels fine when its closed but when i open my mouth it pops. it usually lasts jus ta day then it goes back to normal.

but then one day, i rolled, and i had the jaw problem, except a few days passed, and i still had it. then weeks passed, still have it, and now its been like... at least 7 months and i still have it. its called TMJ, and i brought it up to my dentist when i went in for my crowns (i didnt mention the ecstasy use though) so if youre like me (and its pretty unlikely that this would be tehe case) there is this thing you wear in your mouth while your sleeping which eases th jaw back into its atural place. im used to it already though and its gotten better so i havent done anything about it.

i dont mean to scare you or anything, just letting you know whats possible, and that yes it can happen from ecstasy use, but theres a very very minimal chance it will be permanent

i got something similar... it's more of a bump everytime you chew one side seems to sorta dislocate or bump/crack into place... it's really uncomfortable and weird. it went away for me after about a day. definately pure MDMA

i didnt have ear or neck pain though. i suggest going to a doctor and askhim about it without mentioning that you did E

Stick a finger in each ear, and move your jaw around a bit. Feel movement with the finger/s?

That's because some of the muscles which control the jaw extend to around there. That explains the weird pressure near your ears, as your muscles are just sore . . .think of E as a five mile sprint for your jaw.
The same goes for your neck.

You're probably just experiencing muscle aches from all the tension . . .perfectly normal after taking something like E. The clicking/clacking is something I've experienced before, and it happens without the ingestion of any drugs. Most commonly after I've been chewing gum all day . . . correlation, no? ;)

You're fine, but see the doctor if your jaw/neck is still wonky after three days. Those muscle need time to repair =D

If your jaw was dislocated, you wouldn't be a happy camper at all. You wouldn't have any control over it, in fact, so it would probably just hang slackly if it was.
