You can't imo. Electronic music evolves all the time. Sticking to the same old producers gets boring.

Of course you can! No one's saying that you're only ever allowed to listen to your top 5! I agree with you that discovering good new music is exciting, but the idea behind this thread is to list your alltime top 5! It aint easy (it sure wasn't for me!).
 
I can't list my top 5, but my favourite two live electronic acts over the years have been daft punk and lab 4 :)

Aphex twin, chemical brothers, the prodigy, massive attack and underworld have been sitting high on my playlists for a good decade too. Yeh I know, I know... they're all mainstream....

Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert, Squarepusher and Venetian Snares are definitely my top four. As for the fifth, it's a tossup between Wisp and Autechre. Wisp has a more eclectic sound, but the sheer intricacy of some of Autechre's stuff never fails to blow me away :)
