Indoor Trip Enhancers

I always rely on good music and good headphones for the "comeup" period. If the dose is strong enough I don't really need anything except for a dark room and a feeling of safety to travel innerspace.

I have had a great trip once in a house that was transformed into a playground slash graffiti/artpiece with matrasses on the ground, a jungle net hanging from the ceiling in which we stuck activated glowsticks...
It was the most succesful ever because it was a great setting for the atmosphere but it didn't get in the way of anything.
Most other attempts I have made on my own to 'prepare' something turned out a disappointment because (among other things) I was expecting it and there wasn't any fun and freedom left for real play. It's like when parents arrange for too much prechewed toys for kids and the children show surprisingly little attention to it but rather play with the box it came in!
Music and a good atmosphere are just awesome.

I also don't like psychedelic art when I'm tripping: everything that is mundaine becomes really interesting and transforming while prefabricated trippiness is just lame in sharp contrast.

Reminds me of 2C-E that can 2D thing into 3D but also turns 3D into 2D.
Only the difference with that is that both these effects are still great.

Do u guys think that cordless headfones are better to use whilst tripping or just normal speakers? If so why do u guys prefer it?

Ive got tons of lights in my room. Mirror ball, green laser light, smoke machine, strobe, colored moving lights, UVs, a static ball and a lava lamp. I prefer the later to use as all the others are annoying. Id prefer to save em for raves at home:)

The best music to listen to whilst tripping is Psytrance and chillout music. I love Solar fields so much and also Vibrasphere.

UV active backdrops and UV light is always nice to look at whilst tripping. Though I prefer by far being in the nature.

damnt how many posts do i need to be a bluelighter someone PMed me and i can't respond lol.

Anyway- is outside really a lot better? i mean if it's my first time, i live in a big city, i think i'd feel a lot more comfortable indoors.

It's all personal preference...

for me, it depends on the compound... 2c-e is great for indoor introspective journeys to me... acid can go either way... 2c-i I prefer outdoors in the daytime... mushrooms are better for me at night.. I usually end up outside to smoke and the rest of the time inside because I'm a little too paranoid to be outside in the city on them...

Plus... if you think you will be more comfortable indoors... you will.

Personally... I'd tell you to pick out a few movies, set up a playlist, (pre-adjust the volume on everything so you know it isn't actually too loud) grab a few books, a notebook with a pen, some crayons/markers/watercolors and a few pillows. I doubt you will use all of it... and you may not use any of it... but having it all handy is cool... plus... set yourself up with some fruit or easy food to make.

I hope you enjoy yourself. :)

I agree about the art, but for slightly different reasons. When I'm tripping I don't like to look at things that were made to look at while tripping or listen to music that was made to listen to while tripping (with some exception). It just makes me feel pathetic. I think its the association it has with the fried-egg kind of kid who loves tripping in his dad's basement and listening to the grateful dead on a loop (that's a bit harsh). I love tripping too, but I think once it becomes a lifestyle, the whole point of tripping to improve or change your perspective on your life is contradicted. I also agree mundane things become much more interesting while tripping (ex. walls)

Blind folds are a shit ton of fun. That and hammocks.

I for for one love "cliche" trippy art/music. No reason not to celebrate the beauty of tripping through expression.
