hi. i have ibs (irritable bowel syndrome) and am just coming off a bad flareup. am planning to roll later this week. i am wondering if anyone else with ibs has rolled and what this does to their system - will it make things worse for me after the roll, ie. could it induce another flareup or worse, or will it have no discernible effect? since ibs is somewhat related to anxiety i thought perhaps it might even have some positive effects, but thats just a thought. would love some feedback because i would hate to get back to where i began before i got this recent flareup under control! thanks.

i got ibs also, mdma now actually just before the roll kicks in, i have the urge to go #2, witch is good, but never the less, still messes up my intestins because i dont eat when i should be, and sometimes i dont eat the day after, but no you should be quite alright, have fun.

You could try plugging the pill?

That is not a joke btw, ibs is caused my the stomach and intestines right?

its a problem with the contractions of the intenstines. if i planned to eat well and continue sticking to a healthy diet does anyone know if the mdma could still have a negative effect the next day? any personal experiences?

Altough i'm not very familiar with IBS and can't find alot of litterature talking about IBS vs MDMA, i'm pretty certain that it will have some kind of effect.

Serotonin is linked with normal gastrointestinal (GI) functioning and is believed to be somewhat related to IBS.

Personally I suggest you talk about it to your doctor.

Ive got IBS. Not severe though, ive found its actually less noticeable for about 2 days after taking mdma. weird huh?

ok. so some people have ibs that causes constipation and others have ibs that causes diarrhea, i think caused by the rate of colonic absorbtion of water (says this pamphlet from my gi).

i have ibs and i always take the most amazing shits of my life on molly.

as far as asking your doctor directly, it's not a bad idea, i always write what substances i am using on my patient history. they can't arrest you, just judge you. then again my boyfriend and roommate are both in med school and we roll/trip/rage all the time.

DONT DO IT! I know from experience, I was rolling most weekends and always felt like I was going to vomit :( Not sure whether it was the Amps/ Caffeine cut with the bullets, as I havent had good quality crystal in quite some time :(
PS; I have IBS V by the way, just thought id share my honest opinion.

I also agree. I find that if I keep my diet good then it takes longer (about a week) to get to the same point of uncomfortable pain/abnormal bowel movements where I was at before. I find this happens with MDMA, Mephedrone, Methylone, LSD and 2c-x chems but never with amphetamines and the like. Since serotonin receptors are dense within the gut, maybe the agonism has something to do with it. It seriously feels like it hits a reset switch. If I look after myself (exercise, eat right) after a trip/roll then I'm fine for a while, if I dont then im back to square one after a couple of days

Have IBS myself, it's a pain in the ass literally, have it 2 years now, last time I took that NRG-2 stuff it made me have leaky gas, whatever way it messed with my intestines, was not nice at all lol MDMA pills used to never give me the urge to go to the toilet before I had IBS but I would get it some times when taking pills now, piperazines are the worst for it, depends on whether I'm anxious or not as well. Valiums help me greatly and I feel fine the next day.

I've started taking Effexor (75mg) this week, those things are nasty for side effects, hopefully it'll pass soon.
