Nah im in Sydney, not taking anything illegal, me thinks there will be a lot of dogs, considering its the first big festival, of the festival season in Sydney
 
Sydney is a definite yes lol.


Brisbane? Who knows. Out of Big Day Out, Good Vibes and the V Festival, theyve only had sniffers at BDO, and that was the first time ever.

Its virtually the same for every state.

If a dog 'indicates' on you.

The police then have reasonable suspicion to carry out a basic search.
You cannot refuse the search once they have reasonable suspicion, or you will be chraged with obstructing police.

This usually involved looking through pokcets, shoes, hat etc.

If they feel you are hiding something, then can detain you for a strip search.

To strip search you they must be done by the same gender officer (unless emergency) and must be done in a private place.
 
Me and a few others are going up to Sunshine Coast for Schoolies this year by train from Syd to Bris (then catching a bus). We really want to take some bud up with us but are packing it about being caught by dogs. Do u think there'll be heaps of sniffers at Central and/or Brisbane Transit around end of Nov? Can they smell the weed if i hide it "internally"...in the female sense? lol ;) (edit- No price or availability discussion)

Dude from what ive seen QLD use their dogs the least out of QLD, NSW and VIC
They rarely use them at festivals (BDO this year was a first) and they occasionly use them in the valley etc at night.

You will be fine. You have more chance of getting caught by dogs in SYdney train stations then anywhere in QLD

There at Redfern and Penrith most times. I say expect alot more sniffer dogs and cops at raves in the near future. Its fukn shit. I wanna go to a festival too so im just gonna drop 2-3 pills before i head in. Fukn bastards.

I was talking about festivals in general, but you're right, some decent acts on during the day at the one coming up :) I should be spending a good deal of time at the air stage. *does a little dance* yehah excited already!!!!
 
i just had an idea.........what about throwing cats as a decoy. or at least keeping one spare in your bag. if you get pinged just open it up, cat springs out, dog gives chase, no more worries

Im thinking about taking 1 pill into an upcoming festival (non frequent user). Im trying to be as safe as I can, even if that means taking it beforehand.

If I just put it in my mouth when im going to the entrance, would that be safe? Like if a dog stops at my feet I swallow, if not, I get in and save it for later?

I haven't really had a pill in my mouth for any longer than 1 second before. Do they start to dissolve in your mouth if its in there too long?

You could do this but I doubt it would be possible to hold it in for any longer then a few seconds. Pills aren't cherry flavoured - they have a very gross taste.

Yes, it will dissolve in your mouth. How fast would be dependent on the binders used.

If you really want to do this, especially since it's only one pill, I would suggest wrapping it in gladwrap first. =D

(makes me shudder thinking about the taste lol)
 
Dogs at certain upcoming sydney festival tend to only be at the entrance gates right? they dont walk the dog around the event all day right?
