A MAN carrying an estimated $3,000 of heroin around Sydney's Kings Cross in water bombs has been arrested by police after months of surveillance.
A five-month operation led to the arrest of the 37-year-old man yesterday.

Police say he was walking along Liverpool Street allegedly carrying 58 individual packs of the drug in coloured water balloons, with an estimated street value of $3,000.

Cash and mobile phones were also seized by police, while a Suzuki motorbike worth $12,000, said to be bought with the proceeds of crime, was taken by officers searching a Northmead home linked to the man.

He was arrested and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court to face drug supply and possession charges.

"Police in Kings Cross and Surry Hills have been working hard to stop the flow of heroin to the streets and this arrest should serve as a warning to other would-be drug dealers that we will continue to do so," Inspector Gary Koschel said.

ok so sounds like they just arrested a heroin street dealer. Just like the dealers in most Major US cities that sell drugs on the street in 'high intesitiy drug trafficking' areas of the city. ex. NY, NJ, West Coast California, Chicago, Atlanta, Penn, ect..ect... all have big heroin markets like this, except east coast Heroin is #4 powder and west coast has that nasty tar bullshit. but i will say it is strange that he would have that amount on him unless i guess he was taking that much to sell to someone or something, otherwise most dealers leave there stash at the house

I wonder if they seized the food in his refridgerator. That could have been bought with his "proceeds of crime" as well.

Anyways, at first I thought they were saying he had bags of dope concealed inside of an actual water balloon.

and just who the fuck is going to buy perishables at the subsequent LE auction? i really wonder though... why WATER BALLOONS?!

^ haha yeah they make it sound like it was floating around in the balloons calling them 'water bombs', but tar sounds more probable
