DEA Medical Marijuana Bust; Obama Lies About Ending The Raids

^ I expect personal attacks, ridicule, exaggeration, and emotional outbursts from liberals.

Dude, I am just keeping up with your literally style. I am not a big fan of Christianity, but you know "You reap what you sow!" Would you have a normal conversation with someone who talks about "the global Zionist conspiracy" (or is that one real too? ;) ). I mean just replace Zionist with Marxist, and there you are. :D

You want me not ridicule you? Then make a normal argument and stop drinking the "8th Imam Ron Paul's mujaheddin for freedom" cool aid.

P.S. I don't hate Ron Paul. He might be a backward, out of touch, provincial asshole, but that's about it. I do dislike the "Paulite anti-anti-American" crew. Most of them just jump on the "freedom" bandwagon without actually understanding wtf he is talking about. I remember asking one guy about why he supported the Paulite view that the Fed should be abolished. "I looked in to it and the banks have invested in the Fed". Umm, yeah? And any other industry in the US has no influence on their respective regulatory bodies and the political elite? AT&T must have used the power of god to manipulate the FCC to allow cell phone exclusivity deals and stop the commie-pinko-liberals from attacking our freedom to pay AT&T monopolistic prices. God forbid, AT&T might actually have to compete on price and/or features alone. Damn, that's what I call anti-American competition! =D

I can't believe there are some people that haven't realized that Barack Obama is a habitual liar.

and calling people racist for not liking what he does is getting really old.

Is this thread an attack on Barack Obama or are we arguing that the raids shouldnt be happening?

Obama is wrong for allowing this to happen, but I am really disappointed at the intellect displayed in this thread. Whether he is black or white or Muslim or even Jew has little to do with the way he runs his Government policy.

You guys are laughably ignorant.

Alot of people voted for Obama because he was black, but I think he's better than having John McCain atleast. Lots of blacks were going fucking crazy when he won lol, most of them don't even know shit about politics and just voted for him..

He's like any other politician, he makes false promises then doesn't do shit.

^^^yeah thats the problem, a lot of people thought he was going to be a "different" politician, who wouldn't play to special interests. But low and behold, its been revealed, hes just another dishonest weasel in a suit. It's a shame too, because I really had high hopes. I should have known better.

I'm not pro or anti Obama, I just want whats best for our country, but people need to stop with all this shit about respecting and adhering to the constitution. That piece of paper was written hundreds of years ago when everything was probably a lot more simple and to say that all our current and future policies should adhere to and follow the constitution is ridiculous in my opinion. Times have changed and everything has become a lot more complex and complicated to be relying on some ancient document written by people who would be pretty irrelevant to today's problems. Just my opinion on a tough topic.
Where do you see the conflict between the Constitution and your opinion on this issue? The Constitution is amendable, so if a part of it is thought to be a substantial hindrance of progress, and enough/the right people agree, it will be changed. Now, if you still want to discredit the Constitution based on its age, I would point you to the fact that in 233 years, the only amendment to be repealed was the 18th, which was not even close to 100 years old (15 at the time, 90 now). Twelve Amendments were ratified in the 20th century, so you can't even say that the Constitution is that old, only parts of it. What I'm really want to say, however, is this: Please back up your claim with some factual evidence. Otherwise your argument looks very weak to objectors.

What a sad state of affairs in the world.
Obama may not have been directly in charge of this raid, but by not working to legalize (or, as we should be saying, "re-legalize") marijuana and other drugs, he is a very important part of the big picture. His drug czar says that "legalization is not in the president's vocabulary". That is a real shame for those who actually hope for change, rather than just lip-service to the idea of change in order to get elected.

Over the weekend I had watched "Super High Me" which was very funny. But I had not realized that the medical marijuana shops were being raided. THe movie was being made during the Bush administration so I googled a little bit and saw that obama said that they were gonna stop. But now this is proof that the president has no real power and is just a puppet for the real leaders just like most the presidents before him. I am not gonna go on a rant so that I sound like a paranoid conspiracy theorist. Jimmy Carter had said the same thing in his campaigning that he was gonna decriminalize marijuana but once he got in office saw that it wasn't in the interests of his lobbyists, CIA, DEA, blah blah blah and ditched the idea. It's a sad state of affairs all around.

From what I got out of the article, Obama did not go against what he said about ending the raids for medical marijuana. From reading the article, I sounds like they were buying bulk marijuana, for non medicinal use, which is still illegal in California. I still think its bullshit and think marijuana should be legal, but it doesn't sound like Obama is going against what he originally said. I think the DEA is much more to blame for this then he is. I'd be surprised if he even knew this operation was taking place in the first place. Its not like the president knows about all DEA busts.

Agreed, first of all this article is from NORML so it is going to be strongly sided towards marijuana users, but as a marijuana user myself it does sound like these people were breaking the law. The use of force, if true is absolutely absurd, and there are far better things they could be spending their time on besides small time marijuana growers, but I don't think this has anything to do with Obama.

That "ancient document" you call our Constitution allows you all the freedoms you have today. It's what they call a living document and can apply to todays standards just as well as 200 some odd years ago.

^^ I was just trying to make a point that I am not racist for rejecting Obama. At least Keyes respects the Constitution as the supreme law of the land which places limits on government power and guarantees and protects our natural rights. Even the US Supreme Court doesn't base its decisions on the Constitution anymore. At least Keyes wouldn't turn America into communist third world country like Obama is doing. I would have preferred Ron Paul. But no matter, the elite puppet masters wanted a commie and they picked Obama. I am afraid they have enough power now to do what they want.

Who was calling you racist for rejecting Obama? Why are conservative so paranoid about being called racist if they disagree with him? The only time I ever hear that come up is when a conservative brings it up and has to say something about how they are not racist, they just don't agree with Obama. I have not heard any liberals bring race into the conversation when debating Obama's policies.

It always takes a long time for new laws and policies to kick in. If it is not violating both state AND federal law then they shouldn't have a case. It will happen soon enough though. We just have some old timer ultra conservatives who have been in office for too long. I say be patient and things will get alot better in how cannabis laws are enforced.

It's demoralizing to think that I have to be patient for weed legislation when I want to buy H bricks at Costco. :(
