Hello BL Wordsmiths!

As some of you do, and perhaps others do not know, BL has for the past few months re-instated its Journal section as Blogs. Things have been going swimmingly, but at the moment there are relatively few active posters. So, who better to bolster these ranks than Words posters?

C'mon over and check it out. We're currently trying out a Theme of the Month as a means to get people a bit more interested. This month's theme is Introduction, and while personal introductions are great (and often de rigeur for first blog posts), it is meant to be interpreted as strictly or as loosely as you'd like. I think that some less-conventional interpretations of the theme would be an excellent way to diversify the posts.

Blogs is still in its infancy, so we can make it whatever we'd like. Personal journals are great. Collections of prose and poetry are great. Other ideas (assuming of course that they fit within the BLUA) would also be great.

I look forward to seeing some of you over there!
 
I'm all for directing our populace over there but I do agree with UAN.

It seems a little raw and hard on the eyes to look at tbh. That in itself detracts me from playing around in there.
Hot to put other than, can it be simpler in presentation, like the old VB Journal.
The front page on that was more welcoming for one.

I'll have a batter look later after I've had some sleep.
 
Yeah, we've had several people mention now that the layout isn't great, and to be honest I'd tend to agree. It's something that is being worked on, but I can't really promise much for the moment.

Oh, and thanks for stickying! I spent three minutes trying to find this post in order to bump it, and found out that I didn't have to. Hooray!
 
newer features and functionality there are, i think i need time to play with it but it's not so bad.
 
Yeah, I definitely like it better than the last version of Journals but still think the version before that was the best for Bluelight. Journal buddies was awesome.
 
It should be kicking around somewhere, but only to download/read. I'm a little embarrassed, but I don't recall what you used to be called, or I'd try to find your specific journal for you.
 
there used to be a 'journal' button or whatever on the top bar, with 'forums, search' and all that. can we get that back? it's annoying to have to use quicklinks-dropdown.

i think that would increase activity as well...
 
Nope, unfortunately it's to do with the vb scripting.

That's why there's a link to blogs on the front page now as well, to make it easier to find.
