Easy way - buy a fuckn reagent test... from memory - 4mmc turns orange on marquis, and m1 turns green.

strange results but hey...

and yeah, look, consistency, smell (ammonia like).

lots of people passing it off as mdma which is totally wrong, but i think its still better than being piped. Know your dealer, know your products - know your body, know your mind.
 
I dont know why u people would try to sell this stuff as mdma
Its fine and enjoyable being sold just the way it is, as mephadrone
 
More money's to be made by branding it MDMA. And people are more likely to buy it if they think it's MDMA, rather than some unknown (which meph on the whole still is).

Sucks.
 
Mate bought 'MDMA' caps at a club a few months back. He gave me one and I took off the lid and tasted it, was meph but it was cut hard only had that slight 4mmc taste. Effect were minimal and I puked a few times the day after... might have been from the grog or no-sleep and then work who knows 8) Oh from memory looked like the cap was 200-250mg.

Doesnt seem to me that it was 4mmc mate. Why would someone cut the 4mmc which already suss even its pure cos u need 250mg to make u feel like ur on 100mg of mdma. Plus it doesnt really make u sick at all. Seems to me like it was another RC or a crushed up piperazine pill that someone wanted to get rid off. No offence mate not trying to be a dick here or anything thats just my thoughts.

Was it short acting tho?
 
I have no idea why (I do actually know why :) , but....) someone would pass off 4MMC as MDMA. 4MMC in itself is a fun drug a lot of people would want to try anyway (if they actually knew about it).

Makes me sad. :(
 
Getting some solid information on how to differentiate between these substances is definitely needed.

I guess because if people sold it as mephedrone, no one would really be that interested. It hasn't established itself as a popular and well know illicit drug yet. Alot of people wouldn't be willing to try a substance they have never heard of, so it makes sense to sell it as MDMA.
I might be opening myself up to ridicule, but for quite a few months I was buying the neo-doves from this israeli dude, think they were MDMA cut with some other chemical (it was widely assumed cut with a sub-coca or a stimulate herb from israel). Though I found the effects to be slightly different to MDMA, I believed that there were MDMA in the caps. It wasn't until reading about mephedrone on bluelight, and seeing a thread that showed a picture of the same caps I'd been taking, that I figured it out. I consider myself to be more educated on drugs than the average punter, so if i can be fooled, then I gather most people can be too8).
I'd say most people, outside of bluelight, would never of heard of mephedrone, let alone realise that is what ius in the caps.

By the way, did anyone notice that they developed a cross tolerance with this and MDMA?

nope.... mephedrone tollerance seems to build up like mdma in its seretonergic effect - it only lasts a few doses til its not that much fun todo anymore...

but leave it a week or two and the effects are back with just as much intensity as before.

there hasnt been a noticeable cross-tollerance either

The ketone group should be identifiable using a 1% nitroprusside reagent and a drop of 2M NaOH buffer.

Methcathinone can be tested for using 1) Cobalt thiocyanate (cocaine test) gives faint blue with MCAT 2)Chen's reagent; turns orange (also reacts with ephedrine, pseudo etc) and 3) Liebermann's reagent; orange. I would suspect 4-MMC would produce similar colours

It tasted the same as the 4mmc I had done before that night but it was alot weaker... The sickness was probably from drinking a fair bit that night & pulling an all-nighter then doing physical labour (carting barrows of builders mess into a massive bin :X) my body didnt like working hard =D

Effects were minimal but it seemed like the drone I had previously... who knows
 
I got sold something that i presume was mephedrone last night (of course sold as MDMA - but I knew better). They were big caps that were half filled with white powder. I ended up been booty called, so I had to rush home, thereby only having half a cap in a line. Kind of similiar to the Neo-doves, but easier on the nose. Slept well after the effects wore off (lasted about an hour -residual effects maybe another half hour to an hour).
 
Got a dose and a half of this left, don't think I'll be getting any more after that has been munched. Too little known about it and too many bad reports in other threads here. Granted I'm not dosing more than 300mg in each session but I'd rather have peace of mind than a cheap high. Each comedown is worse than the preceding one too I've found.
 
Long time viewer, first time posting! I've dabbled in 4-mmc over the past 6 months, gotta say, the first time I tried it, it literally blew my mind! I was in shock to try something new AND it set my soul ablaze with it's goodness! But hell, the comedown sometimes was a little harsh, and I do see the potential for abuse and addiction, cos the feeling is pretty damn amazing! Lol but it's good to see quality information for a change, keep it up guys! Too bad I can't get my hands on it anymore though, cos for all the horror stories I've seen so far, I still believe it's ok if done with respect, cos nothing is safe these days anyway! Lol but anyways hopefully I'll get to know some of the Aussies on here! Some like minded individuals to share stories and what not! Lol
 
the sheer amount of 4mmc caps being passed off as MD in vic at the moment is making me physically ill :\

I have to say they don't do a great deal for me. I have a reasonable MD tolerance, but still, you'd expect more for the talk-up they're getting.

pfft. oh well. Wish I'd saved more of the couta caps from back in the day.. thems the breaks
 
^^ the caps I got in a club here in Adelaide barely did anything.

I think it is being cut heavily and your average street user doesn't know what dose to give people for a good time.

Thanks man, sorry to hear so many people being duped! It's just greed, and stupidity, cos if shit hits the fan and we all start mutating in 5 years or something I can see a bloodbath ensuing! Lol just out of curiousity how many people here use regularly and if so what dosages and or amounts are you taking? Would be good to see a general tally tho, kinda like comparing notches on your belt lol and what's with the drought? Shits been everywhere for me and now nothing! Bad luck or karma paying me back for having too good a time? ;)
 
I was offered 4-mmc while i was on the hunt for lsd lol. this kid told me he knew the cook and that it was awesome, bit like mdma. he also told me you can sniff it, take it orally or even smoke it?

this thread is way to long to read from start to finish, but from what is currently known, what is a safe first dose? and what is the maximum one should take in a night?
