well either i'm blind or this hasn't been created yet.

so i've got the first overall pick in my work league this season. our draft is tomorrow night. i've been set on peterson, everyone expects me to take peterson, but i've been thinking about taking michael turner. it would be a curve ball that would throw off the entire first round of the draft. plus turner owned peterson in TDs last year and was almost equal in yardage. i'm also concerned that peterson may share some of the load with chester taylor which makes turner an even more attractive pick. any opinions?

Peterson is the better player IMHO, but as you said turner had more TDs. I think this season they will trust Ryan even more so I don't think he'll carry the same load. I'd pick Peterson as he will get way more touches than Taylor.

good point about ryan. i'm not TOO worried about taylor, just that he's a good enough back that minnesota won't hesitate to go that route in the redzone thus taking an easy 6 from my scoring. it's no question that peterson will carry a majority of the load, but the "important" carries are what i'm worried about.

I understand completely your hesitation. The thing about Peterson is he isn't just a power runner so he breaks big runs so he will get his but it's always tricky with fantasy as you need certain stats. As long as you have solid picks throughout you'll be in the running but just remember that if you don't pick him first the next pick will be him most likely.

Too many question marks on Min. offense which leads defense to focus on AP
( damn is he a stud though)

I am going with Turner #1 all the way because of complete offense.

Sleeper - Chris Henry, you heard it here first.

no doubt about that, TMD. we're doing a snake draft so i pick 1st out of 8 people... then i won't go again until 16th and 17th. so not only will the person i don't take be gone by then, but i'll have to decide on a WR or QB. because by my fourth pick... most of the good QBs and WRs will be gone, but the RBs are pretty deep this year.

your first pick is not going to with the league! Represent and grab Forte!!!! He is a fucking stud.

Chris Henry lol. I can't see that he's on a shit team, they fell off bad.

I know, I know....grab him as your 4/5 reciever if you play a 3 rcvr league.

last night ....100yds and TD, check out career stats when not in prison and he has been clean for awhile...Carson Palmer is also a stud.

- I haaate the bengals...just business

I wouldn't choose forte as my first pick if you paid me. There are certain names that are first pick material he ain't one of them. Ryan your pick is a good one, we both know he is a stat machine and will most def get his, turner is a beast.

So we all agree...Turner!?

I am in a keeper league where we are allowed to keep 2 players..who would you guys keep out of the following players?

Michael Turner, Andre Johnson, Chris Johnson, Reggie Wayne, LaDanion Tomlinson and Brandon Marshall.

I am thinking Turner and Andre Johnson. MAYBE Tomlinson, but I'm thinking Sproles will have just as many touches as LT next year.

I had all those players in a 12 team league, and yes I won the cash, lol.

Don't pick tomlinson, I'm in the camp that beleives he has officially fallen off. I would go with both johnson's or andre and turner. I think you can't go wrong with either, but turner johnson is def a good 2 to hold on too IMO.

Keep Chris Johnson and Andre Johnson and draft another RB in your first round. Finding consistant WR that score fantasy points is way harder than finding RBs.

2009 Fantasy Football

Alright boys, it's that time of the year again(Thank God!). Did you draft yet? How are your teams shaping up? I picked 9th in our draft last Friday. I made the extremely risky move of forsaking a quarterback for one of the last rounds because I knew the QB I wanted to gamble on wouldn't be picked by anyone else. Here's how it shaped up:

Week 1 Starters:

QB: Trent Edwards BUF
RB1: Chris Johnson TEN
RB2: Joseph Addai IND
WR1: Randy Moss NE
WR2: Anquan Boldin ARI
TE: Zach Miller OAK
Def/Special teams: Dallas
Kicker: Neil Rackers ARI
Coach: Arizona Cardinals

Bench:

RB: Darren Mcfadden OAK
RB: Derrick Ward TB
RB: James Davis CLE
WR: DeSean Jackson PHI
WR: Torry Holt: JAC
WR: Devin Hester CHI

THOUGHTS:

I always try to slip some team spirit into my fantasy team. With Terrel Owens signing with the Bills and Lee Evans opposite him, I think Trent Edwards has serious sleeper potential if he can throw well this year.

Chris Johnson was a beast last year. He's looking to be even nastier this year now that Tennessee's coaches are getting sick of Lendale White's off-field antics. Mark my words, Chris Johnson is going to blow away overvalued backs' like Michael Turner and Brian Westbrook this year.

I think Mcfadden is going to have a breakout year. Addai I'm iffy about but grabbed him because he came cheap. He burned me last year. James Davis should be taking over Jamal Lewis's starting spot for the Browns. He a good runner so I'd like to see if he produces this year. Derrick Ward will be good for some serious points if he proves to Tampa he's a better back than the others.

I'm really excited about Devin Hester. Being the #1 wideout in Chicago now that Jay Cutler is with the Bears has serious potential. McNabb never ceases to amaze me, so DeSean Jackson was an easy pick being the Eagles prime wideout. Torry Holt is a bum, but he's a starting wideout and I needed to fill a slot. Moss and Boldin are givens, though I'm not sure if Kurt Warner has another great year in him, and if he doesn't Boldin will suffer.
