GBL Megathread: 3ml and Wobbling

it takes 6 months for a law to be passed so that is the minimum timescale even if they decide to ban it tomorrow, all I heard was they were 'discussing' with industry, I'm confident it will be around for the rest of this year and most if not all of next year, be gone by the time the 2012 Olympics are here though. 8)

It's okay found some info, yes looks like it's gone within a year, probably gone by the new year. Must have missed that one.

He's calling on the Government to ban it with immediate effect. I would've thought if they could ban it easily they would've done so already. Having seen how quickly they moved once they decided to ban ghb and magic mushrooms, they do seem to be stalling a bit on this one.

I'm no expert but I'm sure you can't just click your fingers and ban things you have to go through the right channels, this is a law change, it can't be done just sat in the pub so to speak.

I wonder if it will still be easy to order/get hold of it from foreign sites..Probably worth risking as you'd only get the customs letter, probably be best paying in cash though so there is no paper trail.
 
This may sound like a paranoid question but once the ban does come into play is it likely that people who have made recent purchases of it could recieve letters through the door or even knocks to see if it is still in possession?
 
That would be stupid as fuck.How many people do you think buy GBL in a week?
Also when mushrooms were made illegal in 2005 do you think that people who bought a kg a few days before it was made illegal got busted?
The people who got busted for 2C-I were importing an illegal drug.
I would however fully expect there to be a serious crack down on buying stuff from mainland europe...eg 6 o'clock knock....
 
gbl's good, a little too good. I've been using it fairly regularly for several months now. I don't use it every day, but I do use it most days of the week. Probably 4 or 5 days. Sometimes I'll just have a few ml, other times I can do 10ml in a day (often in conjunction with a stim session).

Just 2 or 3 weeks after my first time of doing it I hit rather nasty withdrawal. Sudden horrible anxiety and insomnia. Each day it trailed off though. Physically, the main symptom I experienced was a very tight neck. The symptoms were mainly psychological and seemed to come in spells. Alcohol helped a lot, as did exercise. I've got into a habit now of being on some sort of gaba enacting substance whenever I sleep really. I#ve probably had minor withdrawals a few times but I drink a bit most nights and do valium most weeks so I don't get too much trouble.

I'm hoping to get my GBL use way back down (although it's nowhere near as serious as many of you I'm sure) and use it exclusively at weekends for comedowns, hangovers etc. It seems to be the ultimate drug recovery tool but very addictive and potentially dangerous.

I've actually recorded pretty much all my GBL use for the last few months and might make some sort of graph out of it. Keeping a tab on your doseage is key for safety and to enable you to deal with withdrawal if it gets to that. I think as long as you don't use GBL too heavily every day, it's possible to avoid major withdrawal by tapering and/or using other GABA substances.

My main flaw is I tend to combine it with quite a lot of alcohol. I've once woken up with vomit everywhere and no recollection of getting into my bed after a heavy night of booze and gbl and on another occasion I experienced psychosis or seizures or some sort of violent reaction where my friends had to practically hold me down.

I am a reckless waster and if one substance ever finally gets me, I know this one will play a part

It's been going through parliament for months now - not exactly done with "a click of the fingers down the pub" ;)

I doubt it will be very practical to be ordering from overseas as it's pretty bulky but I also doubt you'd be locked up for trying - "just" a customs love letter and losing your money I would suspect :\

I dunno broken - I like acid, DMT, shrooms, E, methylone and what have you. But GBL is akin to alcohol and then you fall asleep. I'm not saying it's not pleasant but it's not the arsequake I'd been expecting. Someone said he was "groaning with pleasure" on GBL. Unless he was jacking off at the same time I fail to see what he was groaning at.
 
Try it on MDMA (if you are lucky enough to lay hands on any) or other stims, Issy. Or even some of the more stimulating psyches, for that matter. That's when it truly comes into it's own :)

Also, GBL + wanking/sex truly is pleasure-groan inducing =D

Yeah I'll be giving it a try, a small bottle would be the best way, hopefully I'll be able to order a 50ml one from somewhere they can fit in a jiffy bag, still gonna buy a few litres before the ban kicks in though. =D
 
As myself and Shambles have said a few times now, G is definatly more of a side dish that a drug to use on its own. G with MDMA truly is amazing, it is with coke too. It is enjoyable with Meph too but not as much as the previous two mentioned. I have not tried it with psycs as they are not really my bag so can't comment.

I say this but I am one of the people who enjoys G on its own too. I would be tempted to have a wee amount now but have taken 120mg codeine so far today for my knee and know it's a knock out waiting to happen.

Well i usually smoke weed with G, and that is a lovely combo, but even on it's own I like it..... I only rarely get/want MDMA these days, so I'm yet to try it with G, I'd imagine it would be superb though.

Yeah steer clear of G with Codeine, hits like a Train. ;)

I even tried taking small doses of each to see if I could get a good result and in the long term save drugs, but even taking half of the normal doses sent me into the land of nod....I get the feeling that this combo has a serious risk of OD so I am staying well clear of it from now on. It just scares me a bit.

I'm not a weed smoker so don't know of that combo but if you are one of the lucky ones FE an can get MDMA or good MDMA pills then definatly try the combination, it is like both of them work together to make you feel absolutly amazing!

Yeah it's on my to do list for sure, it's just rare that good MDMA pops up but it does from time to time, might even just get some nice speed and try that combo..:\
