I picked up a bag of this "botanical incense" from a local headshop, it is supposedly a legal smoking blend, It seems to have similar ingredients to spice gold and other legal smoking blends:

Blue lotus, baybean, pink lotus, siberian motherwort, marshmallow, catnip, stevia leaf, aroma essences


anyone try a similar blend?

The only psychoactive herbs listed are the lotuses. Minimal effect at best.

The stamens are the most active part.
 
i smoked a small cig sized joint last night and got laid the fuck out...
it was very similar to a weed high but damn I got really paranoid and my heart rate went up like crazy, i got really high though and i think i was tripping
i must have smoked too much or something im gona try smoking maybe half the amount tonight

this stuff is not bad... very similar to weed but different... last night i smoked a blunt and was going crazy i was tripping, im really wondering if this has anything in it thats not stated on the ingredients
 
All of those "herbal smoking incense" whatever they call it, have some sort of synthetic cannabinoid in it. Its all based around selling a product off of spices reputation. People would be seriously dissapointed if it didnt have one of the pseudo legal cannibinoids in it...thats kind of the expectation of buying one of these "natural" products.

None of that stuff you listed is going to get you high its bullshit.
 
I tried a mix of blue lotus, wild dagga leaves, salvia foliage and catnip, and it did nothing, but i kind of enjoyed smoking it for some reason.

What did actually feel nice was straight wild dagga flowers (flowers work way better than leaves). I ordered half an oz off iamshaman and they sent me 2oz! I found it like being stoned except it didn't make me feel like a retarded anxiety case like weed...

Tried some last night, did quite a good bit of it.

Stuff sends you on a fantastic voyage of crazy colors, sounds, shifting entities. It's definantly more than just the pretty flowers mixed together man...

I felt like I could shock the hell out of my friends with lightning bolts.
I felt like I could fly if I could figure out how to run real fast.
I felt like I could run real fast if I could figure out how to stand up.

But yeah, didn't like the heartrate going up, the paranoia, or the looonng ass trip. OTherwise, in small amounts it's probably not that bad, but over priced and kind of stupid. 8)
 
In many cases, those herbal smoking blends don't contain any of the ingredients on the label, and are just filler herbs and synthetic cannabinoids. They don't have to label it accurately if it not claimed to be intended for consumption.

If it lasts shorter than weed, it's a JWH, if it lasts ~12 hrs, it's a CP.
You mention the expense of it, as well you might, - the margins on those herbal smoking blends are impressive (as google can tell you from looking up the active ingredient).
 
and also, whatever is sold at smokeshops in the US contain NO CANABINOIDS. IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD BE ILLEGAL. what i stated above is what people in the army are smoking nowadays. where i live is not far from Mass Maritime and Cloud Ten is what they're all smoking.......Legal, 18$ a gram, better than weed, does not show up on drug tests, all natural, gets you unbelievably fucked up. enough said.. the owner of the shop, who has been burning good old mary jane for over thirty years. since he tried cloud ten, he has not bought weed for the past month. all i can say is wow
 
Perhaps I'm wrong, but saying that headshops can't sell things containing cannabinoids is just false.

It is my understanding that part of the draw behind the Jwh-xxx and CP-xxx chemicals is that they are synthetic chemicals that are not analogues of THC, nor are they analogues of metabolites of THC, thus they are not illegal under CURRENT federal law; some states have passed laws against them however.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I quit smoking these blends as i dont feel safe smoking research chems anymore...

I don't know what the long term effects are... fuck that.
