I've never felt euphoria from taking small dose of benzos on their own, you do get a nice buzz at higher doses when mixed with booze but it leads to insanity as you well know.
 
Never turned into a cunt from mixing booze and benzos. It just chills me right out. I'm more of a cunt sober.
 
diazepam is probably my favorite. i take it more than i should, but less than daily, and it has a hell of a half-life, so i'm probably under the influence quite a bit of the time. not a good habit i know. i find diazepam to be the most pleasant benzo and also the one on which i am the least impaired in terms of functionality. unless of course i have a few cocktails, which is just trouble brewing...
 
Oh a couple of grams of alprazolam was fun for a while... dabs at the end of a night hmmm.

I take diazepam 2-3 times/week as a sleep aid and in-between if neccessary for anxiety and/or comedowns! ;)

Have done for years, and apart from when I came off after 6 months or so of daily(nightly) use, I've never really had a problem. I guess I appreciate it as a medication!

Hvent touched them for other a year now the withdarewlls were bad but i stuk to it,Back then my fav was allways valium..
 
I've recently gained experience with two different benzos (never had any before).

Diazapam (Valium) and Xanax (Alprazolam).

Of the two i greatly prefer xanax. When using it to aid getting to sleep the shorter half life means fewer lingering effects the next day and when using it recreationally you get more of a 'hit' when the effects kick in and then it wears off leaving you feeling relatively normal in less than the 24 hours plus that valium can manage.

Valium, because of it's longer half life, strikes me as more useful in genuine therapy if you needed to always be on some kind of benzo due to stress or pain (assuming you took a lower dose) but if you try and use it to get high you can take slightly too much and lose a whole day easily whilst looking and acting like a zombie if you are conscious at all to the outside world.

I took to hiding the bag full of them and sticking a few on a shelf that was easy to access. Once all the ones on the shelf were gone i had to either remember that meant not to take more or forget where i'd hid the rest. It's easy to forget how many benzos you've taken once you've already taken some benzos.

Valium seems like it would be very useful for the come down or general tiredness after a stim session as it would chill you out and make you even less likely to leave bed and last about as long as the stimulant comedown, whereas xanax would wear off after about 4 hours and you'd have to take more. Next time i try mephedrone i will try valium afterwards to help get to sleep.

Generally slightly overdoses of either valium or xanax make me curl up in bed and go to sleep, not wander about the town yelling incoherantly which was an initial concern so i'm relieved about that.

I think xanax would be easier to become addicted to just because it's easier and more convenient to take but i doubt there would be all that much in it.

I like combining benzos with alcohol. I thought it would be a disaster because i'm a lightweight with alcohol and i heard it can be dangerous but all i do is drink 1 pint and take 1/2 my normal benzo dose and still get pleasantly affected. Saves on benzos and i get to drink a tasty beer. In the intererests of halm reduction i'm not sure i can recomend this as i've heard it's quite hard to overdose on benzos alone but in combination with alcohol quite easy.

Neither gets me properly high or gives me euphoria. It's more a pleasant floaty cloud like feeling where everything feels fine and is fine and you are nice and relaxed.

whenever i mix booze and benzos i turn into an utter utter cunt.

i try my best to be on my own and hide my cellfone from myself if im going to have a benzo binge (and possibly consume alcohol)

In the same way that some people prefer to smoke a mild sativa instead of a heavy indica.

For me, diazepam is best suited for relaxing during the day while still being able to get jobs done whereas alprazolam is best suited for zonking out on the couch in the evening while watching telly. :)

I have never even tried xanax, so i would not know. Can't imagine the effects to have much of a difference.
 
iVE SUCESSFULLY withdrawed from benzos,Who on here has done the same and how long were you on them for? Oh did you get any help meaning given other medication to ease the bad side effects you get when withdrawing?

Tell me also how you tapered please and with which benzo?

When i was about 16/17 i was using up to about 150-200 mg a day for possibly 4 months? Somehow i just woke up one morning and did not feel the urge to take another, and stopped completely. i am now 19 and have been taking the same amount for about the same amount of time and went a week without any, with no problems or withdrawals at all. I have no idea how this is possible lol

The difference in effect for me isn't that noticeable but diaz lasts longer so I think I prefer that.
 
I prefer diazepam over alprazolam, less compulsive to dose, less amnesia and I prefer the overall feeling.
