I am not opiate naive... been using on and off for about 3 years. The highest my tolerance has ever reached was 60mg hydro. Before today i hadnt taken any opiate for about 3 months.

At 2:30 AM i dosed 10 mg methadone. It felt kinda euphoric nothing to amazing. AT 7:45 am i redosed 2.5 mg. Right now im eating a small meal and contemplating resdoing another 2.5 mg.

Will i be fine if i do so?

wow gees thanks for all the help guys

Threads aren't live chat, please don't get mad if it isn't answered right away. From a pharmacological standpoint be careful redosing methadone within 24hr's. Methadone has a VERY long half life in your system, sometimes even up to 36hr's. Even after you stop feeling the effects of Methadone it is still at a high concentration in your blood. Redosing because you don't feel the effects anymore actually cause the drug to get dangerously high in your system sometimes because you still have the last dose of methadone you took in your system.

So sure you may be fine taking another 2.5-5mg's but remember it's just like you took that whole dosage at once even if you spread out the methadone dosing over 8+ hours. 24hr's at least is usually the guide between doses of methadone where you don't run the risk of stacking dosages and then ODing from too much being in your system.

Honestly 15mg's of Methadone is a small dose compared to what a lot of people are on or take. But you are also at a state where you have no opiates in your system and most Methadone users are habituated opiate addicts. Simply be careful ok. I hope that was enough info to ponder.

Thank you... I didnt take the other 2.5 mg dose and good thing i didnt. Im almost reaching the 24 hour mark from my first dose and i still have pinpoint pupils and trouble pissing.

Honestly this methadone was a major let down :( The euphoria was pretty good but the side effects were pretty crappy. The high felt very dirty, very delusional, disoreinted, the nods were kinda nightmarish it also made me feel extremely weak at times and nausea would come and go. The high was such a rollercoaster; at times i would feel like i had cancer and other times i would be able to focus extremely well. Today at work i was able to do my job to perfection.

I have 7.5 mg of methadone left. ill probably take it tommorow

Thats Methadone for ya, if it was a "great" opiate recovering heroin addicts would be happy to give up heroin for Methadone, unfortunately it's not all it's cut out to be. The high is rather dirty and just makes you feel blah, especially until your habituated to it. I was on Methadone for pain control, with Dilaudid for breakthrough pain. I was routinely taking 30mg of Methadone for a day and although its GREAT for pain control and lasts a long time, it simply was not a pleasurable opiate by any means and the side effects were something I just couldn't deal with. I couldn't have sex if I wanted to, my sex drive was 0 & my fiance wasn't going to put up with it. So I just went down to Dilaudid only and had my Dr. double the amount I was taking.

methadone is great for chronic pain; i've got rheumatoid arthritis and have had multiple spinal fractures and it's allowed me to get my life back.
however, idk why anyone would bother w/ it for recreation. it's an odd drug, has no 30 minute "oh yeah i'm feelin' it" effect and straight up, if you don't respect how it works, it will kill you.
a few years ago i knew someone who got like 30 of the 10mg tabs and kept taking one or two every hour cuz he wasn't feeling it like oxy or hydro. 6 a.m. the next morning his wife woke up and he was dead in bed next to her.

if you don't have a chronic pain situation or aren't on mmt, please do not take it.

I agree with the above mentioned warnings. Methadone may not make you feel euphorically high, but it can easily kill you without doing so. The fact that it does not get you really high has to do with how long it stays in you're system -- but be advised it is there. I've heard of people with no opiate tolerance puking like crazy off of a few mg/s.

For maintenance users, methadone's effects make it so they do not really get high. This is so they can function at work, school, etc. (if the patients are on an appropriate dose). It also works to block the euphoric effects of other opiates. Please be careful with that stuff...it can quietly place you into respiratory failure. Also, be aware that some types of oral methadone solutions are concentrated.

Honestly, it would take you such a high dose of either oxy or morphine to get you high for several reasons.

The methadone dose you are at is likely going to block other opiates, so you would have to take a few days off if you wanted to use other opiates.

I am not sure what an equilvalent dose of oxy or morphine would be to 110mg of methadone, but I am sure that it is very high.

I would also agree that people should only use it for MMT or pain control, not recreationally and especially if your opiate tolerance is low. It's a dangerous substance if not used properly. I also know of people who have died from methadone, it'll sneak up on ya.

it generally takes about 2 to 3 hours to fully set in. if you think you can handle more after 3 hours... then id asume you can.

The first time I tried Methadone I was completely opiate naive and had zero tolerance. I took one of the 40mg wafers(which is hindsight probably wasnt the best idea) but I had people with me. I dont know why people on this forum think Done isnt euphoric as I felt incredible and had a good nod going for a good 18 hours. I'd say you're definitely fine to redose, but if you're alone, keep it under 20 mgs.

I will say I felt like complete ass the next day and was very nauseous.
