You bet your fucking ass I'll be there.

I just hope it's better than the last time he was in OH. He played with Magda at the Redzone in Columbus, and they only let him do like an hour long set before the place closed.
 
it sickens me that there isn't more excitment in this thread. i'll be pissed if this party isn't packed to the rafters.

I think there are probably a multitude of reasons why people aren't biting at this thread, but I can only speak for myself.

I'm not all that impressed with Richie's DJing, particularly in the past couple of years, plus money is always a factor. :\
 
Granted some of his recent past have been a little weak... but when Hawtin is on, he is fucking on.

So we made the trip from Detroit to Cleveland because a friend and I had just seen Hawtin and Dubfire tag the previous day and when Hawtin is hot he's on FIRE!!!!

Got to the club at about 11:30 to see ambivalent tearing it up with some dancey minimal-tech. Metropolis is a pretty nice club, but I guess they weren't prepared or something, because they ran out of Redbull by 12:45ish, and bottled water by 1.

Hawtin got on at 12 and started playing some really clickey minimal with his signature bass drops and Traktor fast forwards, pretty solid set, but a little dissappointed.

Turn out for the club was alright, but Dear Ohio,

Lighten the fuck up! I was standing next to a guy who kept bumping into me, I look at him and go "what's up?", he proceeds to say "do you wanna die? Because i'll fucking kill you!" I laugh it off and say something and he goes "i'm serious", and proceeds to show me a picture of him holding a gun, to which I replied, "check this out!" And showed him me having a glass of wine with Gui Boratto.

Then later on, a chick tried stealing my friends wallet! And the fucking club was undercover central, and there was a UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICER in the club.

Still had a good time, but I think I'll pass on Ohio Road trips next time!
