Great States in the USA

Yeah the ocean is about the only thing I can think of that Colorado really doesn't have...but the mountains out there don't even hold a candle to the Rockies...sorry.

When it comes down to the debate between CO and CA, I feel like it's pretty close, but CO wins out because CA seems so high maintenance and EXPENSIVE.

Granted, a lot of what people think about California comes from what they see on TV - which is all LA and Malibu and rich bitches driving Mercedes etc - and there's definitely places that aren't like that at all...but I don't think I could handle living there.

Simply, CO is down to earth.

CO's mountains may be better for powder skiing... but the fact that I live 45 mins away from skiing, and 2 hours away from surfing just can't be beaten.

If you think the rockies are prettier than the northern Sierra nevada range, you're probably right. If you think they're prettier than the backside of the range toward yosemite, no way. The 14 hour drive down 395 was worth it just because of the mountains it had.

who the hell cares about mountians? are ppl really discussing whose mountains are better? For wat? Wat do you use them for? To look at? I dont get it. lol

What the hell do you do all winter long without mountains? Where else do you play?

We have mountains in New Jersey to the north and we have beaches and forests. It really is a nice place to live. We have a little bit of everything , I love it here <3

I was a truck driver for many years and I like the carolinas very much. alabama and georgia are also nice. atlanta is a very beautiful city. from the left coast, I'd have to go with oregon and washington. If somehow, I had to pick a place other than where I live now, I would move to somewhere in the carolinas or virginia or tennesse. All these opinions are based solely on the natural beauty of the terrain. not the people or the living conditions or the job opportunites.

Alabama is mediocre We have some good colleges to go to (Auburn, UAB, Alabama.) We are famous for my high school football team (Hoover Bucs). In Birmingham theres a awesome skateboard shop called "Faith". Theres alot of clubs, and irish pubs here. Down south of Alabama is out capital, Montgomery, where i'm going to college at Auburn University in Montgomery. Further south is Gulf Shores, and Mobile. Gulf Shores is fun, Nice white sand also Dolphin Island is fun for the weekend, and Mobile has the USS Alabama(battle ship). Thats about it.

Damn happy right here in the ny/nj area-or the greater northeast- we got everything u could possibly need-nyc 4 nightlife & food, ocean for awesome fishin from cape may to gulf of maine, surfin(not like cali but alright in decent conditions like big easterlies in the fall-when the tourists and posers finally leave the beach),decent to good skiin from nj to maine, and last but c-ertainly not least-probably the best, most varied, and convenient drug market in the U.S.-open air/delivery/hookup whatever floats ur boat!. the only thing i dont know if u can get is crystal meth--and i'm not sure i would want any of that ish even if there was a mound in front of my face. far as i'm concerned u will fall off the face of the earth if u cross the delaware river

^ awsome ! .... Its good to see someone that is in touch with the area they live in. I too like the northeast. its been a long time since I was there, but its pretty cool.

Iowa is a wonderful state, as are California, Florida, New York, and Vermont.

I have only been through North Dakota, yet it really intrigues me for some reason.

There is something about Iowa that I just love. The people are so kind <3

That's some funny shit you =D

The best state, for partyin at least, is Puerto Rico. Tropical Paradise, someplaces have happy hour where beers start at 5 cents and go up 5 cents every 5 minutes until it hits 50 cents then stays there for the rest of the night. Drug prices are super cheap and there are always ghettos to cop at where they care about good customer service so you don't have to worry bout gettin ripped off. Food and rent is cheap, too. Plus, you don't have to worry bout freezing to death ever.

Well I haven't lived very many places but I have seen most of maryland and washington dc. Now i live in North Carolina and I can say i really like it here it is a state with really nice scenery and really diverse all around.

I'm sort of learning to like NC. It's really pretty and decent weather and a good amount of concerts and plenty of stuff to do. Snow in the mountains for snowboarding. But I'm still sorta new here and miss NY.
Specifically western NY. I can't explain it, it's kinda run down, shitty weather and not a ton of stuff to do. But it's still 'home' for me. There is all sorts of local stuff I know about and miss. Not to mention most of my friends still live there.
I could see myself checking out nor cal, washington or oregon. But so far the east coast has been treating me pretty good.

I like chicago... but a place other than here? colorado probably maybe east coast?

no offense but if talking about and describing your state and you have to mention a "famous"high school and one skate shop as the highlights...i might have to pass on visiting that state..

what is the craziest and most intriguing part to me about alabama, montgomery to be specific....is the fact you dont have a Martin Luther King Dr, ST,Blvd, Pl...

every major city has a MLK except Montgomery, Alabama, the heart of the civil rights/rosa parks/bus boycott movement

and to me thats amazing
