I dunno something that is going to make me happy and content. Tramadol used to do that but now it just makes me pissed off. Not really the outcome I was looking for. I wonder if uping my dose would make any difference...
I went through a Tramadol binge, and let me tell you, it's not worth it! Honestly, the buzz isn't even all that great to begin with, and then it eventually stops working anyways, and that doesn't take very long. I was taking huge doses to try to get the buzz back, and I think I actually ended up with a mild case of "serotonin syndrom" because Tramadol apparently acts as a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. I was also taking Effexor XR, so this was a bad combination....You can actually get seizures from this stuff, but
not because of withdrawal. The seizure potential is actually thought to be because of the drug's effects on the serotonin and norepinephrine. I think the negatives of this drug outweigh the positives, for sure.
Tramadol is just bad news, and my personal advice to you is to NOT up your dose. I would recommend starting to get off of it. You should taper, depending on how long (and how much) you've been taking. It's a shitty drug anyways. It's not worth it. Depending on how long you've been taking it, The "withdrawal" from Tramadol is nothing like withdrawal from real opiates, so don't worry about that too much. It's been a long time for me, so I don't remember exactly the details of when I quit, but it's definitely nothing like "real" opiate withdrawal.
Tramadol is only good for once in a while use, when you have nothing better to do.
