Mephedrone Megathread - Second Line

loads of suppliers are selling under the name meow, your local headshop is probably making it up as they go along.

Yes. From the information you've provided the only even slightly sensible thing to do (apart from taking it back to the shop or bining it) would be to spilt the stuff in half or there abouts and take the other half later.

It worries me. I'd like to see drugs legalised on the basis that educated drug users taking legal drugs are going to be safer to themselves and those around them than the effects of prohibitionism. When i read about people taking 10 grams of mephedrone in a week i worry that i'm just wrong and drugs will always be illegal.

You make a very good point there MrM. There's been endless debate on EADD about how all drugs should be legal, yet it's obvious that people can't act sensibly when something is legal.

All it will take is several peeps dropping dead after 2 week meph binge and the stuff gets banned straight away.
 
That's because the people caning meph don't give a shit about self-preservation/harm reduction, they're the kind of people that would just cane anything that felt good if they were given it because they have no self control. These people probably need therapy not drugs.

Not just talking about people on BL either, there's another board where people are even more fucking retarded when it comes to meph.

And if drugs were legalised they'd be regulated. There's no regulation to meph, there's nothing stopping anyone buying a fuckton and going through it in a couple of days.

Well said. Seems that buying in bulk seems to be most people's downfall really.

Im getting the impression that about 5 of the above posts were all aimed at me :\, yes i know i was irresponsible and took it a bit too far. But we all make mistakes, i mistakenly thought i could control myself and didnt think that it would be as fiendish as it was considering i had done it before and it wasnt so fiendish then.

Ive also learned my lesson about bulk buying and will not by bulk buying anything again.

My stupidity, although i survived in pretty good health has still taught me a valuable lesson and that is not to buy in bulk and to try and act a lot more responsibly when around drugs that make you want to redose often.
 
I wasn't aiming anything particularly at you Mugabe, but MrM did make a very valid point.

However it is all to easy to keep on necking stuff, especially when you don't have a natural break on things. When i was doing loads of pills in the early nineties, the cost always made you stop taking pills before you got to double figures. Nowadays, havng a missus and a baby to look after (not to mention a job where you need your wits about you) is another natural break. I've got 6 grammes off fleph 30 cm from my right hand, and it's been there almost 2 weeks now with zero danger of being touched.

But with Meph being dirt cheap, your half term holiday and no mephbabies to look after (yet ;)) it's easy to see why you ended up on a bit of a binge.

But that still don't make it right! :)

Anyways, when are you next planning a Meph adventure? :)

Not just you; you are just one of the few who had the honesty to admit to their mistakes after the fact (and thus got your figure of 10g / week quoted by me for your troubles) so don't take it too personally;)

The real test for you personally will be what happens next time you take mephedrone, now you've got zero excuses for not knowing.

I think there is truth to this; these people taking far too much mephedrone are not likely to have been straight edge responsible sober citizens beforehand. Unfortunately the media and the government are not going to make this distinction.
 
Its also just worrying because of the fact it's still a fairly unresearched drug compared to others which have been tried and tested for years, I have shit self control when it comes to cannabis, but at least i'm fully aware of the dangers involved, whereas not knowing what the fuck i'm doing to my body with mdpv/meph is enough to stop me from taking them regularly or for long periods of time.

People's attitudes need to change or else they won't be enjoying meph for much longer, ain't as harmless as they'd like to believe.

Mine wasn't aimed at you, hope you don't think it was. Course we've all made mistakes, the key is learning from them which you have done!
 
The last few posts made a very valid point which this thread desperately needed :|

At worst, i was doing meph once a week (1-2g per session)... fast forward 3 weeks and depression/anxiety reared its ugly head. Never experienced any of the weird heart stuff though.

Even now frequency of my meph use is around one day / 3-4 weeks and it still doesnt feel too safe subjectively, contemplating laying it off for a while if not forever (it kinda gets boring after a while too).

Just got to enjoy it while i can really, and thats the problem 3rd or 4th day i'm on it in a row and this line i just had is making me buzz just as much as the first one, its great stuff

Fuck it i'm no good for harm reduction, but we all need guinea pigs right? i just hypocritically dont advise doing it regularly to anyone out there wondering
 
4 days??? Dang! I'm beginning to think this 2 days session isn't a great idea, let alone 4.
 
I've always been a sucker for any kind of euphoria though, only got to sleep for the first time last night for a few hours

I seem to have got a tolerance to gurning and that with it aswell oddly enough, so nobody can tell i'm on it

Heading towards a train wreck soon probably, but theres nothing wrong with enjoying the ride ;)<3
 
I pulled an all nighter last night in the end and feel pretty peachy all things considered although I have been dosing throughout the day in order to perk me up when the tiredness has kicked in. Didn't think sleeping was even worth bothering with... besides, Tube8 was proving really entertaining :D
