How to distinguish piperazine with testing kit

There seems to be alot of different views on whether you can tell if there is piperazine or not when using reagents.

I just need a good structure on how to distinguish piperazine pills. Some people say it will fizz to the reaction of the reagents, the simons test will turn light blue, etc. So what would i look for? (and while testing if it did fizz with some smoke to black, wouldnt that be mistaken for a good result) etc.

Thanks any help would be appreciated

Hey,
There is a thread just a few spaces down where this question has already been answered. Here's the link http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=425604

Basically a pill that has no reaction to Marquis/Mandelin/Mecke is dodgy and may be piperazine or bunk. It's reported that mCPP reacts blue with Simons. Important to note that many piperazine pills have small trace amounts of MDxx probably to try and fool a test kit but it's usually not enough to make your test kit react the normal dark purple colour in less than 10sec. Even a pill I would rate as MDxx low should react in less than 10sec. Be warned if the pill contains anywhere from a low-medium-high amount of MDxx + piperazine I very much doubt you will see anything other than a normal reaction for MDxx.

If we have a pill we suspect being a mix of piperazine and another drug such as speed or MDxx I don't thing fizzing of the reagent is not a good indicator of piperazine. Other things make the reagent fizz all the time. I usually see speed fizz a bit. I have often seen high purity MDxx crystals/powder fizz a bit too.

As for smoking and then going black this is reported as the reaction DXM (Dextromethorphan) with Marquis. Please check eztest.com for all basic test kit reactions.

The tried and true piperazine lick test should work. Every time I suggest that a lick test will reveal a piperazine pill I must also state that a lick test is ONLY good to find out if the pill is a piper or not. I have seen my marquis react by giving off a peroxide bubbling like reaction to a piperazine each and every time I have tested a piperazine. As Ekstasis-//7 has already stated, a slow smoking black reaction indicates DXM for the marquis. If a pill reacts anything but fast while changing to black I will not waste my time with it. A slow reaction has usually turned out to be a low dose MDxx pill :(

Agree. Remember when you were a kid and you touched your tongue to a 9v battery? It tastes like that. If it does, chuck it out.
