Ambien (Zolpidem) - Inexperienced - No Memory

So I met up with my friend A, smoked a couple blunts, and went to a bar. A few drinks in we each take a 10mg Ambien. Perhaps 30min later we split another 10mg pill and left to go to a different bar. That's the last thing that I recall before waking up the next morning, except for a very few tiny memories.

I've mixed benzos and alcohol many times and am familiar with the retrograde amnesia that results from their mixture. The Ambien was a totally different animal which produced complete memory loss. From physical and photographic evidence and logical induction the following happened: at some point we each took another 20mg of ambien and possibly also some Klonopin. We went to my place of employment, a medical research facility, and smoked blunts there in a freezer (that is not something I would have done in an anywhere near sober state). Then we went to a bar or bars (one of my memory-fragments is a bartender refusing to serve me) and ultimately walked back to my house in pouring rain.

I do remember a nice sort of mushroomy visual and body buzz when we took the first pills. From the pictures I took I seemed to be enjoying myself, I'm just thankful I wasn't arrested. Take-home message: Ambien is a hoot but caution should be exercised.

Ambien feels hallucinogenic to me also. When I take it I never leave the house thou. Once I spent hours in my bathroom talking to imaginary people, there was one person in each corner, didn't really need to go out I guess, party in my bathroom.

reminds me of something that happened one time while i was drinking alcohol with ambien. i was going around the house talking with people who weren't there. and i kept telling the people who were in the house that there was a raging party going on in the next room, and they need to get in there asap. well i guess i passed out sometime after that. when i woke the next day all the other room mates doors were locked lol. they never do that.

i don't drink at all anymore, been a year and a half. not because of this incident though.

does anyone else enjoy taking ambien during the day?
 
I have been using ambien for years, although never as prescribed. My tolerance is quite high. Over the course of one day I can easily consume 15-20 10mg pills. Also I have tried various ROA's icluding swallowing, injecting and sniffing. Sniffing works the best for me but the burn is the absolute worst I have ever felt, no other drug compares to it. Anyway one morning I did 90 mg and took a nap after the effect wore off. When I got up I went to a friends house that night and had 2.5 40 oz beers. I had forgot I took the ambien that morning. The last thing I remember was saying hi to my friend Kara, then I'm waking up in a orange jumpsuit on a jail cell floor. Apparently I got up and ran from my friends house, left my glasses on the table, had no shoes on, fell asleep in a KFC drive through, got hit by a van coming through the drive through, then when police and paramedics arrived I fought with them and refused medical treatment. I was arrested for under age drinking (I was 20 at the time), intoxicated and disruptive, and resisting arrest. and the funny thing is I don't remember any of it, this is all from police reports and what my friends have told me. I no longer drink but I still take ambien,in fact I have a prescription waiting for me at the pharmacy...

That sounds all too familiar, that and consuming the rest of what you have left (even worse). Be careful.

wow. that's why I would never drink with ambien, I too many stories like this... very scary.

one time after only 30 mg of ambien I went upstairs after watching a movie with my dad, and when I went into the bathroom I suddenly felt like I was in a rainforest. (we have green shower curtains, towels, walls, wallpaper, etc, its a forest like setting) and when I got out of the bathroom I realized I had been in there for 4 hours. I hardly remember any of what happened in that bathroom.

ambien always has weird effects on me, that same night, after taking the original dose, I became compelled to use even more, and I went into my kitchen and took 20 more mg of ambien, as well as 700 mg of Dextromethorphan HBr and 20 mg of flexeril.

after that I don't remember much of anything, but the next morning apparently I told my dad that I overdosed on ambien, and that kids do it all the time at school, and that I sold ambien at school a lot.

all of which is kind of true, but he had trouble believing me the next morning that I was just having a nightmare/sleep walking, and that it wasn't true.
 
Ambien is so insane ahaha. you don't even know you are high but it's nice... i remember really strange triple vision that would normally be very very annoying but i was so fucked it was almost like i didn't notice the triple vision it seemed normal.. and like it strangely never happened after it. :S!! MENTAL stuff lol!
 
Yeah I've had blackouts from Ambien. Just woke up in bed with no memory of what happened. I actually had sex with my bf one night and didn't remember it at all.
Blackouts are more common when you start mixing drugs. I've blacked out on alcohol, benzos, soma, weed and Tramadol believe it or not.
 
Yeah Pillthrill you got that right. Depends on what you have in you. If the drug is very amping and boosting you can generally stay up. But if you take 2-4 pills at once seems like you will passout eventually.

And its like a mind wipe most of the time. Remembering stuff is pretty much impossible.

I've been told I get up and walk in circles right after blacking out and then going to sleep right after. I've been pretty weird on it before. Never severely though.
 
I've been taking Ambien for years. I really want to stop taking it because I eat and eat and have to memory of it the next morning. I'm scared to stop taking it because of the rebound effect.
 
I remember getting double vision on ambien. My good friend took 1 and couldn't feel shit an hour later, he took another, and another, and another until he felt it. He couldn't remember a thing.
 
Ambien + alcohol = guaranteed amnesia
Ambien + just weed = nice visuals

I always go for the later, or both with DXM or opiates. Good times.
 
ohh man.. ambien. i had some fun times, some scary times, and some completely weird times.

my left hand is numb due to nerve pain, and when on ambien it completely numbs out the pain, and one night i was basically a fucking zombie and i repeatedly stabbed my numb hand with a knife, pretty fuckin hard too. i was fumbling around the house which woke my mom up, and she saw me the most fucked up i probably was in my life

the next day, i had a feeling that i should check the videos on my phone, and sure enough it turns out i was recording myself stabbing my hand. i had no expression on my face.. it felt really evil

i remember parts of the night, and at one point after i stabbed myself, all these demons appeared and they were entering my body. freaked me the fuck out, but for some reason i just shrugged it off.

i think ambiens pretty fun, and in the past 3 weeks ive had 2 chances to get it prescribed again, but i chose other medications. ill probably just try ambien next
 
ambien is scary. i've had some fun times but after waking up in the hospital (my dad took me) cause he thought i was so fucked up that i really havent touched it much since. if people do ambien, please only use one or two, depending on tolerance, and have someone hold onto the pills for you. i always end up taking more and bad shit happens.
 
My first time taking ambien was a lot like that. What a night!
I had been drinking a tad as well so its all a bit fuzzy, but i would totally do it again.
Minus the alchohal..i prefer to remember the good times when i get fucked up.
